Meat packing centers: Shit, what the fuck?

The only thing more alarming than that is Cuomo disclosing yesterday that 66% of hospitalizations were people sheltering in place.  Surprised this hasn't gotten more attention.

H...O...L...Y  SHIT....Then wtf are we doing all this for?!?  Now, I don't know how many people are still working as essential in NY, but if you assume 25% (I'd guess that's in the ballpark) then if my math is right sheltering in place means only a 13.6% reduced risk of contagion.  If only 10% are working, then it's still only a 36.3% reduced risk, which could be effective over the short-term but inconsequential over many months.

TX gov saying "we have 3 areas of outbreaks: jails, nursing homes and meat packing centers", otherwise we'd have virtually no cases.

Ummmm, which one of those doesn't fit?  You have an outbreak in a business, one of the few that is actually running.  These meat packing centers are probably a leading indicator of what happens when we go back to work if very careful measures aren't implemented.

THey have outbreaks there because that is where the targeted testing is taking place,  hardly anyone in those meat packing places are actually sick.  Same with the prisons, thousands of people tested positive, no deaths

How much SF taxes do you pay? Just curious how badly this is affecting you.

I have to wonder how they got the metric that Cuomo cited.  How do they know who is and isn't sheltering in place, and to what degree they're doing so?

I mean, the obvious answer is that they might just ask them, but to quote the immortal philosopher House:

LOL, are you saying testing is a vector of transmission?

Jails: Close proximity; makes sense
Nursing homes: Probably a higher than average rate of immunocompromised residents; makes sense
Meat packing centers: Shit, what the fuck?

A fair number of these plants employ large numbers of Central Americans who often live and congregate together in large numbers.

No dumbass......its not far fetched that where you look, you find.  Pay attention here and connect the dots.  We will find out that this thing is all over the place and the more you test, the more you find.

I really hope you're not trying to act like stating the obvious (more testing = more positive results) is something that involves actual dot-connecting.

I connected the dots on the back of a cereal box.  Told me 4G was going to melt my brain and give me AIDS.  I've lined my walls with tinfoil.  Seems to help.

Well, if it's on lockdownsceptics.org, it must be legitimate.

Interestingly, the point they make about the model would, if applied, would raise just as much problem with Judy Mikovits' study on the correlation between CFS and XMRV.

That's tremendous news.  Man, I'm happy you guys are cleared, and I'm glad you'll get to spend some time with your grandma.  Just went through that last year with my grandfather, and I know how important that time is.

That's amazing.  Makes me want to do something like this, except our police pretty much leave you alone if you're not being violent or stealing anything.

60 million infected, 12k deaths. Different type of virus.

TOTALLY THE SAME.

CC so shook by any criticism of his god that he fires back by bringing up the response to...A FAR WEAKER VIRUS where CDC numbers state that COVID so far has killed six times as many people in the US than H1N1 did throughout its entirety.

In other words, a typical day.

Fuck it, if it makes everyone hate China  then let's ramp this conspiracy theory up.

Yeah, fuck these people. Now people in Hong Kong are getting Hepatitis E, a disease transferred from rats.
