Fuck it, if it makes everyone hate China then let's ramp this conspiracy theory up.
posted by SportsAndLadyMy point is every media agency reporting about this. Insinuating something is fishy, aka what boogie’s link suggests.
Agreed. It wouldn't be on Breitbart et al if it was thought of as a local murder/suicide story in Pittsburgh.

My reaction was the headline was intended to insinuate something, being on Breitbart. But it turns out it was the actual AP headline, which I'm guessing was clickbait,
Falls inline with the typical sensationalist reporting "OMG this guy was on the verge of a BREAKTHROUGH and then he was murdered".

"They" are always watching and, if need be, "They" will get you. "They" are powerful and scary.
Lol, San Francisco is giving some homeless people weed, alcohol, and nicotine to get them to stay in a hotel and not spread Covid.

California’s ruling elites are literally insane.
And then they double down: LA city council votes to name hotels that refuse to house homeless, may ‘commandeer’ them.
Talk about inciting civil insurrection.
Weed, nicotine...the humanity!!!
The Texas Supreme Court on Thursday ordered the release of salon owner Shelley Luther, who was jailed for opening in violation of the state's rules, as Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order retroactively eliminating jail time as a consequence for violating the state's coronavirus restrictions.

If they want to buy it, let them; why should taxpayers pay for it?
0-2 today.
Still time for redemption.

Lol, you're actually still saying that arguing against your stupid "well, you see, sexual assault isn't THAT BAD if you're in the private sector and paying for your own lawyer!" post is a loss? When anyone with actual morality, dignity or humanity would have realized that was simply a very stupid thing to say and be trying to distance themselves from it at light speed?

No; I’m saying San Fran taxpayers should not pay for drugs and cigs for homeless people, or anyone.

That would make it "0-1" and you said 0-2 as how you perceive his record against you in arguments today.
He swung and missed in the politics forum also.

I assume, being California, by "nicotine" they don't mean actual tobacco but probably the gum or patches, maybe vapes if they're lucky.

This is a big can of worms he just opened. You just set a precedent that there's no jail for violating an executive order (limiting it to coronavirus restrictions may or may not hold). I guess you could bump up the fines to effectively bankrupt someone for a violation, but I think he's really undermined any future action he may have to take on Covid-19.
But it also doesn't make any sense to send these people to jail. I don't know, seems like a lot to give up when she only had 1 week in jail. A pardon may have been the smarter choice.

How much SF taxes do you pay? Just curious how badly this is affecting you.
TX gov saying "we have 3 areas of outbreaks: jails, nursing homes and meat packing centers", otherwise we'd have virtually no cases.
Ummmm, which one of those doesn't fit? You have an outbreak in a business, one of the few that is actually running. These meat packing centers are probably a leading indicator of what happens when we go back to work if very careful measures aren't implemented.

No, that seems to be a case where you and CC/Spock took one opinion and everyone else who has contributed on it has basically smacked you down. Only swing and miss there came from you guys. In other words, par for the course.

Jails: Close proximity; makes sense
Nursing homes: Probably a higher than average rate of immunocompromised residents; makes sense
Meat packing centers: Shit, what the fuck?

Agreed. People constantly bitch about SF / Cali "values" - well, don't live there then. California voters obviously are okay with things like this, so what do you care?
