If CC wants to spout off about election fraud and shit on Twitter it's one thing, for the President to actively spread disinformation is another. Trump has been spreading his bullshit lies long enough without consequence. His time has come.

What should scare everyone about this big tech fascist style censorship is that what they are doing under the disguised action of “inciting violence” is that ALL Americans aren’t smart enough to handle opinions and views of other people.  This at its core isn’t a dem or republican things, it’s a big tech knows what’s good for you thing.  

It’s literally fascism righh in front of us and if you disagree you are an animal and if you agree you all of a sudden are more American.  We have it all twisted up

Censorship? I didn't know Twitter was a part of the federal government. 

You cannot have it both ways libertarians. You cannot scream about free speech and then complain when a private company does something that you just do not like. 

The President can still issue statements, go on tv, send out videos on the White House website, and many other ways to reach the public. He is not censored. 

Once he leaves office, he can also go on any tv network or website that will have him.  He is not censored. This is not the old days of a few outlets to get one's views across. 

Now, I fully admit that Twitter does seem to apply a double standard on their flagging of posts. But, as a private company, they have every right to do that. Their slogan about being a public free speech place is suspect, but again, they are a private company and can do what they want without interference from the feds to force them to do things. 

Twitter should also apply the same rational to say the leader of Iran, China, and other counties as well.

But, to claim this is a "slippery slope" I think it is a little much. If you believe in the free market, like a libertarian should, then you should believe the market will find a way to address the issue.

I get this is your attempt to troll me with a mic drop comment about my free market beliefs, but I have been down this path before on this discussion here, and I already said a private business has the right to do whatever they want.  It still doesn't make it right what they are doing.  You can believe both at the same time,  you get that right?  It's no different than any other business doing something that you do not approve of.   I am not shocked this would be your take though.  You have proven time and time again you are nowhere as principled as you pretend to be. 

Also, this isn't even about Trump.  Idgaf about Trump, it's about who else and what else they will be censored and about people actually being ok with this.  The slippery slope is not about what they are doing, the slippery slope is that people like you are celebrating shit like this, while pretending to hold the moral high ground and remaining principled.

All speech isnt protected tho. Also if you aren’t protesting the baker not making the gay cake then you shouldn’t be all in a hissy over this. 

If the screenshots I’ve seen in Parler are actually true I have no problem with google or Apple removing them. I don’t think they need shut down, but I wouldn’t want to be associated with that either.

Fascism is one of those words where the meaning has changed from its actual definition to "what the other side does". Kind of like "socialism", as the people who tend to cry most about the Ds being socialists never seem to vocalize any objections to things like their favorite politicians sending taxpayers the bill for their medical aid or regular trips to their resort or trips to an NFL game for the sole purpose of "making a stand" against kneeling players.

First thing I thought of when Ptown defended this fascist shit was the baker and how they were literally taken to court for denying service.  Logic is the same, the baker didnt permit those gay people from going to other places and didnt deny them their right to cupcakes.

The government/courts ruled Trump can’t block people on Twitter. So not sure they have much ground to stand on banning him. Until he is no longer President, at least.
