Hawley losing his book deal — and subsequently threading lawsuit over 1A being violated — is, *chefs kiss*.

For no other reason that the hilarity of a US Senator not understanding the 1st Amendment.

Not even him being a Senator. He is a former Missouri Attorney General and a SCOTUS clerk.

Federal Department of Ed. Is the least important part of the federal government.  Matter of fact, the federal government shouldn’t be in the business of local education.

This has been a horrible end to Trump's presidency. I hope he just leaves now quietly.   That was a humiliating day for our country.

Truth right here.  Your retirement, your job (employers got money in there also) are tied to this.  I have made good money in the stock market in the past 4 years under Trump.  I have investments that have doubled in 3 years (arent supposed to double that fast, more like 7 years).

If things kept going, I could look at early retirement.  Not now

People like Friend will soon start to change their tune when they see DC getting too deep into their pocket books.

Completely different argument than your post that I replied to. Why would you completely change your argument from "the stock market doesn't help people below the top 10% and/or it doesn't reflect the economy", which are both false statements, to "well the person who happens to be President can't affect the stock market much".

Don't tell me you're hopping aboard Kizer's "some censorship is good" train.  A private bussiness can do what they want, but shit like this is a very slippery slope.

Or the meaning of "Orwellian". Or that "irregardless" isn't a word.

It's kind of sad that when it comes to national politicians, I'm not sure how many of them are mentally capable of tying their shoes or operating simple household appliances like, oh, a microwave without needing 2-3 of their aides.

I actually thought this too for awhile, and it's a stupid ass word, but Webster disagrees with us.

That is weird. And it seemingly has the same definition of regardless, making it a waste. Strange. Guess I got my "learn something new each day" deal taken care of for today!

Me, too.  I’m a bit taken aback by that.

Also, this shit was planned online for weeks, this was a giant error by police and the mayor.

I'm sure she favored the event to bolster her pleas for statehood

I discovered this a couple years ago.  I had some time to let the shock settle in.  I still don't want to accept it.  I'm ok with burning down Webster's HQ if you all are down?

Yes. It is an abomination. You don't just add a two-letter prefix to a word to have it mean...the exact same. Are "regular" and "irregular" the same? No. Conventional logic, word people, conventional logic!

Let me grab my blue and red face paint, and my buffalo headdress and I am down with it!  The dictionary belongs to the people and we are gonna “check your work”!

I believe that his retreat to Camp David this weekend will be to announce his resignation.
