I don’t think anyone wants audio cut out for 10+ seconds at a time, over and over. Have you ever been courtside at an NBA game? Its a war zone of words you can’t say on TV

I’ve always wondered why there wasn’t a way to pay for unedited tv vs. edited. Like movies on tv, sports, and whatever else.

No, but I would love to listen to the unedited broadcast.

I think we all would. But Silver and the players/teams definitely don’t.

Big ten set to announce no OOC games this season. So bye bye OSU/Oregon. Sucks

I'm just hoping for football, especially NFL.

That's a strange determination, though.  Unless they are going to further restrict travel, such as no OSU-MIN, it's not like all the teams are just a long bus ride away from each other.  Or maybe it's to keep things fair & equal since some teams might see OOC games canceled.

It would also be interesting to see a 12-game schedule all in conference.  No cream puff tune-up games against Akron.  Sucks not to see OSU/Oregon, but if everyone follows suit we're going to have no idea how the playoff stacks up with no out-of-conference match-ups to clue us in.

Other conferences have to follow suit now right? Comparing resumes was already hard. If some conferences still play OOC games and others do not, how is that work?

The cynic in me sees this as getting into the pool via the zero-depth-entry (i.e. small increments), with "getting into the pool" ultimately being no CFB.  I hope I'm wrong, but there's bad mojo in the air.

Yep. Things just slowly fall apart.

No doubt, but doubt it will ever happen.

Not because of the cussing, but because of the "insenstive" comments coming from players.

If so, it'll be fun watching Notre Dame's "we don't need a conference" attitude leave them out of the loop!

Irrelevant in my opinion. There won't be a season. But if there is, ACC will make sure ND has a full slate of games.

That's interesting, because UM/ND is an easier trip than most B1G games.

But then if, say, UM won the conference and lost to ND then the B1G could potentially be shut out of the playoffs.

If it goes this way in other conferences, I wonder if they'll consider expanding the playoff to 8 teams?

Clemson had, I think, 37 players test positive and no hospitalizations.

Maybe consider a redshirt exemption for players who are at risk (diabetic, asthma, etc.) to sit out, and let everyone else play.  I think their risk from Covid could be less than the injury risk they take every time they step on the field.

If they are going to cancel college football, then I'm not sure how the NFL plays.

That all sounds nice and dandy, but if a player dies of covid*, the NCAA will be super fucked.

*I realize the odds are that a player will not die, but if theres even a small chance, they won’t take that risk. They won’t just say “well the odds of you dying from an injury are way more than dying from covid, so game on!”

I don’t see any league finishing a season. The NFL  came out today and said no uniform trading after games. So you can hit each other for an hour but def can’t hang out for 1 minute afterwards. Someone is going to die and it’s all over. Fuck 2020
