Anyone doing anything fun tonight? We have actually gone out the last few years, but we're settling back in to our old tradition of ordering Chinese food and watching Back to the Future I & II tonight, and then III tomorrow. We lead very exciting lives.

I plan on staying home, like I always do. I don't have to be out and around a bunch of idiots to celebrate something that only ages us. I think it's great for people who want to do that, I guess I'm just at that stage in life where it is unimportant to me.

I definitely don't like being out in public for NYE. Last year we went to a party at our friends house. The year before that we had a nice dinner with friends and ended up at one of their friends house.

We usually stick around the neighborhood now that everyone has kids. Last year we had everyone at our house and I'm not even sure we made it to midnight. This year we are going next door (baby monitor in hand) at around 8, so should be able to make it to the ball drop.

Low key compared to the last few years when we hosted a progressive dinner party.  We are just going to dinner and then somebody's house.  Not a big group this year, and honestly I would prefer not to do anything.  NYE is overrated, and it sucks it is on a Monday this year.

Headed to my cottage right now. Wife, parents and some family friends have been up there since Friday. It’s usually a good time, but not enough snow for the slopes this year. Heading home tomorrow or Wednesday.

Best club in NYC is closing after tonight. I'll be there until I get dragged out.

Was planning on going to a friend's party, but plans probably have changed.

Whole house has been battling congestions and sickness. Little man just went to the doctor again today, ear infection. Not bad, but definitely not looking forward to leaving kids with a sitter now.

Probably stay in, may try my hand at a prime rib?

Family over for snacks and games. Justin mentioning Chinese sounds good. I may get a bunch of that for my “snack”

Buddy's band is playing at a bar that's too small for anything like live music that draws a crowd, so I'm looking forward to waiting 20 minutes to get beers!!! Beforehand...I need a nap or two to recover from last night's festivities. Five day benders: sound good on paper, hurt way too much in reality...

Dinner with the lady friend then heading to a friend of a friend’s party. Which I’m happy about since I can bail if it sucks. If it was a friends party I’d be locked in til after midnight.

We checked into our rental house yesterday. Ordered pizza, watched football, drank a lot. Woke up, made breakfast, played Monopoly, now watching football and drinking a lot. I've been wearing sweats since we arrived, so I'm happy.
