Anyone watching? I love the Olympics so much!!! I prefer summer, but winter is great, too.

I am going on an 8 day cruise starting Saturday and am going to miss so much action. I'm upset. 😩

I’ll watch all the ski and snowboard events, plus speed skating. I don’t remember what else I enjoy in the winter.

It's on in the background, it's not like I'll watch every minute of coverage.   Curling is cool, literally.

I’ll watch events I like, so not figure skating last night. I do like curling, the bobsled type stuff, ski jumps and races.

What is the time difference of events? Are most things on delay?

Other than barrel-jumping, I don't normally watch the winter games.

I'll watch if they're on tv, but I don't typically seek out the olympics. I find them, in their current format, to be a massive waste of money and resources.

It's hard to get used to this "Olympic athletes from Russia" thing.

I like the summer olympics.  Other than hockey I have a hard time getting into the winter olympics.  Mostly every sport is either a time trial or arbitrarily/subjectively judged.  They also seem to just invent sports to make it a bigger event.  I.e. cross country skiing with rifles.  WTF lol?

Also, why has the IOC been overcompensating to Asian countries lately?  2008 Beijing, 2018 Pyeongchang, 2020 Tokyo, 2022 Beijing.

No. It’s 14 hours difference, but NBC demanded that they be able to show stuff live in prime time so the figure skating last night was at 10AM Korea time. The arena was basically empty.

They make to big a deal about figure sksting just like they do about gymnastics in the summer games.  I do not like most sports where judges scores  determine the outcome.

Was wondering why it said “Live” on tv last night..I was like no way they’re doing these events at 6 in the morning there.

If it’s delayed but first time being shown on tv, it’s not live lol

They are replaying some events, like the opening ceremony will be shown tonight even though it was this morning, our time.

I’ll watch curling, because I love it. I would normally watch hockey, but no NHL guys this year, so meh. Speed skating, bobsled, luge, and skeleton are must watches for me. As well as some of the ski/snowboard stuff.

The slopestyle course is badass. Looking forward to the ski and snowboard events for that.

I love the pursuit biathlon.  Second favorite winter sport to short track.
