If you're talking about the Biden stickers, the price of gas is still up quite a bit.

Prices are still at least 35% higher. Meanwhile, the average household shelled out an additional $3,200 for gasoline over 12 months since the assault on the middle class began.

I haven't driven in 3 months, but I will next week.
I will be sure to report back on prices and my level of outrage. Stay tuned.

I've gone very long periods without driving. I bought a car ~18 months ago. That was the first one I've owned in over a decade. That definitely felt weird. Especially getting dinged for not having auto insurance over that time. :/

Not sure if I’ve ever went 5 days without driving since I got my license in 1990

Why would you be upset about it; it doesn't affect you. But it does abscond with 5% of the household income from the average family to cover just the incremental cost. Not that any liberal elites care.

Think about it like your credit or credit score.
For example, if you don’t have a credit card ever and then get one in your 30s you get “penalized” for not having established credit. Higher interest rates, lower limit, etc.
Same thing for car insurance. I never had auto insurance “history” for a decade +. Therefore I got screwed with higher premiums. It’s ridiculous, but it will go down in a few years. I’m paying entirely too much for my age, driving record, and type of vehicle.

Do you ever communicate like a normal human being, or is it all just politard talking points all the time with you?

Cite, please. My family doesn't spend that much in gas in a typical year, much less an incremental increase.

The incremental cost is $2,200 (not $3,200 used in my calc., so more like 3-4%)

They are not 'talking points'. It is real dollars, real households, real struggles.

The guys driving jacked up F150s with Don’t Tread On Me flags and rolling coal on Prius drivers are likely spending this much on gas. I can’t imagine most others are.

I drive a Ford Focus, in Chicago. I work from home, which obviously cuts down a lot of commute time. But I fill up once every 6-8 weeks typically. Throw in a few road trips to Ohio. I think I am getting gas -- on the very, very high side -- 20x a year. There is no way I am spending $2k on it. Not even half that.

I see, so you "only" raised costs by about 31% to try to make your point. Would you call that a mere exaggeration or an outright lie?

It was a mistake; it should have been an extra $2,200, not $3,200. Regardless, most middle class folks don't have an extra $2,200 to spend on gas without major sacrifices elsewhere .......... needless sacrifices due to asinine energy policy.
