Tough question for those who grew up all over the place (military families, etc.), but how far from what you consider your childhood home have your lived? For me, I grew up in Western Ohio, and lived in Orange County, CA for a while.

Decent drive. Grew up in Newark, specifically a small town called Toboso, and have lived in Marietta (college), Indianapolis (first real job), and Cincinnati (been here for a decade, doubt we'll be leaving anytime soon). My current house is 149 miles from my childhood home. I was about 225 miles away when I lived north of Indy.

Grew up all over, but would consider southwest Ohio my home.  About 480 from my house.  I guess that is a "decent drive away," but I only fly home.  Fuck driving 7-9 hours both ways.

Live 12 hour drive from home. Went to college here too and have done the drive way too many times.

I lived 80 miles northwest of my hometown for 6 years, and I've lived 70 miles mostly east (tiny bit north) for the last 9 years. I much prefer NE Ohio.

I grew up in Plymouth and lived there from birth until I was 18.5.

We live in same town we grew up in after living in Toledo for 8 years after college.  Moved back here when daughter was an infant when the same career position was available locally, wanted her to grow up in same vicinity as 4 grandparents and 3 great-grandparents.

Grew up on a farm in eastern Ohio. Later, in my 20's, I moved to Marin county in California and lived there several years before moving back to Ohio.

I guess I can say I lived 7500 miles away from home since I lived there for 10 months, but currently 45 miles away from my hometown.

Just guessing on the distance, but I'd say I live maybe 1000 feet from where I grew up.  My parents moved into a new subdivision when I was 3.  My dad's a widower now, and still lives in that house.  After being out on my own for a few years,  I ended up buying a house on a side street from Dad's.

Great up in McConnelsville, Ohio.

College in Zanesville (1 year)

Stayed in Lexington, Kentucky (1 year)

Grad School in Mitchell, South Dakota (2 years)

Grad School in Bluffton, Ohio (2 years)

The farthest I've been is in Kansas. It was every bit of a 15+ hour drive and roughly 1000+ miles. Don't miss it. Really enjoy being back in the Ohio/Kentucky region. This is where my family and in-laws both are.
