CC is rattled
It amazes me how his fanboys can’t admit he’s a dipshit. Even when he says dipshit things lol

Not only that, but you know some asshole MAGA fan is going to drink bleach now to rid themselves of the virus.
posted by like_thatLMAO, sometimes you should just keep your thoughts in your brain or at least closed doors...
Despite that, I didn't look into it, but how about the research that apparently shows heat/sunlight slows/kills the virus? I wishfully hope this is true. Southern Italy doesn't have nearly the amount cases of the North and I always wondered if it was because we get sunlight and generally have warmer weather.
I saw that about sunlight and was happy for a little while. And then remembered I live in Ohio. And got really sad.
As for the Trump commentary about whatever rolled out his brain and off his tongue, same shit, different day. Dude would do SO much better if he kept to a few pre-planned remarks and let the experts handle the heavy lifting, but his ego and lack of impulse control cause him to take over everything, regardless of how stupid or contradictory his message winds up being. I still am laughing a bit over how, last week or so, he gave this good speech about how every state is different and the governors would call their own shots as to the re-opening. And then the next day was on TEH TWITTER with all-caps LIBERATE (insert state where he has had poor relations with the governor)!!!! shit. Basically like a small child with ADD, but with actual power.

So ...
Anti-corporate bailouts? Anti-tariffs? Pro-streamlined immigration/emigration? Anti-Social Security? Anti-government contracts with private companies? Anti-tax? Pro-decriminalization of drugs? Pro-gay marriage? Pro-private property rights (like when Facebook and Google prohibit some speech on their platforms)? Pro-gender identity rights?
How pro-liberty, pro-capitalism are we actually talking here?
Quaker is all about individual liberty and freedom...well, unless said liberty and freedom applies to ANYTHING he personally disagrees with. We've all seen him posting a gazillion links about why weed shouldn't be legal and don't get him started on abortion, so you know...he likes liberty and freedom as a talking point against stuff he doesn't agree with. But in reality, he's a typical politard who only looks at stuff from an "opposition of the other side" perspective, which ensures there are logic holes enough to drive our military's entire collection of tanks through.
LOL, now Trump the bankrupt businessman is proposing an airline "bailout" that suspiciously sounds like "lose money on every sale and make it up on volume!!!!" (he was proposing the govt - which flies more than anyone - buy a bunch of discounted tickets 5 years into the future to provide cash).

LOL WTF
For those that know my name in real life or have any way to find out/talk about this outside of Ohiochatter please keep this to this website.
My wife works on the "front lines". She is a care giver for those in hospice care. She typically only works at people's homes that are just wanting to live out their last few months in their own homes. From time to time she has to go to a nursing home however.
We are not sure if it was from a nursing home or just from some other source, but my wife has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We are on day 6 of quarantine at our house.
She only got actually tested because she works in the health care field. My mom and sister have had all the same symptoms (pretty much) as my wife this same week/time frame but they both were just told to self quarantine as they didn't qualify for a test (weren't bad off enough, not old enough, etc). My mom was 7 months too young to auto qualify for a test. She's 60, have to be 61.
My sister and my mom are basically over it, they both started a day or 2 before my wife. My wife has had the low grade fever (99.8), dry cough, throat/chest pain/tightness when breathing, loss of smell/taste, etc. She is already feeling better but still has a couple of the symptoms.
The county health board calls my wife daily to get an update on her symptoms and they said, if she follows the typical, she will be symptom free by Monday at the rate she is going.
The funny thing is that she is clear to leave the house as soon as she is 3 days without symptoms. The reset of us (3 boys and myself) have to be quarantined for 1 extra week in case our incubation periods are longer. So far no one else in the house has symptoms as she has been quarantined in our bedroom completely since Monday. I have been on the couch (and I didn't even screw anything up this time!).
This really has been, for my wife, sister, and mom, just a bad case of the flu, as it has been reported for the vast majority of cases. My wife hates the isolation far more than the symptoms she said. Although we do face time quite a bit.
Again, please, if you know my name/who I am don't say anything outside of this forum. My wife gets self conscience about this kind of thing and doesn't want more people knowing that doesn't need to know.
I just wanted to give a 1st hand account of what it is like when someone you know has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Hope your family gets/stays healthy. How are you dealing with meals for your wife and getting the dirty dishes and stuff. Did they say anything about laundry and how to wash clothes that she has wore while infected? I feel like this would be the hard part of not getting infected living within the same home.
BTW if you live in Columbus and need a meal or something lmk I’ll drop something off for the family.

Good luck, man
Good luck JMOG. Keep us updated.
Hope full recoveries all around, jmog.
From what I’m hearing, it’s either pretty light flu symptoms or it hits you like a real son of a bitch. Hoping for the former in your cases.

I cook, leave her plate (using all disposable for her) outside the door and she grabs it once I walk away.
As for clothes, we are just leaving her’s in the hamper in the room for now. We will wash them after this is all over.
I moved our mini fridge from our basement living area to our bedroom so she could keep gatorades/waters, and some regular snacks in the room to avoid more “transactions” at the door each day.
We have a family member that stops by once a day and goes to get necessities. Grocery shopping one day, prescriptions another day, etc. I Lysol my debit card, leave it in our mail box (on our house) and they go get the stuff then leave it on our porch.
Truly so far the only real hard part is the isolation. I mowed the grass yesterday just to get some sunshine. It really didn’t need it yet.
So far so good though. She is feeling a little better each day and no one else in the house has any symptoms.

Damn; hope everything works out good for you and your family, man!
Jmog, have you injected Lysol into her veins yet? Heard that’s the cure from a very “high up” source.
Best wishes jmog.
Hope you can muster some empathy. :)
Whoa. That's rough, jmog.
I'll be praying for you guys.
