Would be pertinent information to know how many of those 1000 were due to being positive vs how many are due to having to quarantine for 10-14 days due to contact tracing (coming in contact with someone who was positive or thought to be positive).

Not good news either way but would have been good relevant information.

Looks like if they do the half dose then full dose, it’s as effective as the other 2

Yes ...context matters, GREATLY. 

They have 51,000 employees , so 1.9% being affected in an urban area is not really anything special.

Then take your own advice and apply context. Like how many of their 51,000 employees can work on covid floors and how many that can are part of the 1000 off sick right now.

Their own spokesperson said it is not a real issue yet. 

That does not mean it couldn't be at some point, but when the panic promoters simply say that over 1,000 Cleveland Clinic employees are out due to covid it makes it sound like the end of the world, without the context.

I’m going to say most work places have Atleast 2% of their workforce out because of covid. 

My vaccine trial date was pushed back until the second week of December. Reading that the AZ one is only 70% effective I may just opt out and wait for the other vaccines. If it’s only 70% effective and I only have a 66% chance of getting it I’m not sure it’s worth the risk.

Nah....It depends how its dosed. 

When given a half dose then a full dose a month later it was 90% effective. When given 2 full doses it was only 62% effective,

Hmm I wonder if they can tell me which of those 2 dose schedules I would get if it’s not thenplacebo
