Did he say anything about spending trillions of additional dollars we don't have being a really bad idea? If not, he said nothing of interest to me.

I think he said something like "lower costs, not wages", which he's been saying for a while now.

I'm just not sure what he would actually attempt to try to lower energy prices and other costs, aside from printing more money (which just leads to more inflation).

And asking companies "not to charge more" when there are supply shortages is an economic policy right out of the AOC playbook.  And threatening those companies with the DOJ is rather a bit socialist.

I didn't see it but heard a clip where he said we are not going to defund police, we are going to fund them.  LOL, but if true, good.  What a bullshitter.

Two days ago he was walking around outside by himself with a mask on, then suddenly the virus was eliminated midday yesterday and he was able to walk into the chamber last night hugging and shaking hands with tons of people without a mask.  It was like a miracle.

Haha.  Thought the same thing.  Covid is a curious monster.  đŸ˜

I already know the answer, but curious, if there anything Biden said last night that some on here actually agreed with or supported?

I thought there were some olive branches to the Republicans.

Plenty he said that republicans agree with. The problem is that the things he said, fund the police, secure the border, etc, are things the Rs have said for years and Ds have fought against vehemently.

Either Biden suddenly saw the light, or is pandering for midterm votes, not a whole lot of other options in between.

Biden has been in politics as long as I have been on this earth and I will be 50 this year.  Biden sees whatever light he needs to see.  Half a century politicians are the most destructive life forms on earth.

Biden’s speech wasn’t memorable and I think Nancy was tripping.  But these state of the unions are overrated theatre. Nothing will change no matter what he said.

Bingo.  And the problem is people seem to care more about what the politicians say, than what they do, which is why they went apoplectic over the outsider Trump, while all the positive actions were overlooked.  The phoniness in DC is immeasurable.

Did anyone see news footage from yesterday where Jill Biden walked over to Joe while he talked to reporters and pull his arm as to shoo him along away from talking?

WTF is that?  When have you ever seen the first lady control who and where the POTUS talks?

In fact, they just asked for $22B more dollars for “Covid”.

We're being ruled by lizard people.

This is how Mr. Myogi fixed Daniel-san.  Maybe she senses Biden was about to soil his draws and was preparing to step in.
