I can see both sides. Your argument here and also the argument that starts “almost no other jobs out there will let you bring your infant to the workplace”.

“Supporters, many of them millennials, say they are drawn by D.S.A.’s promise to combat income inequality, which they believe is tainting every facet of American life, from the criminal justice system to medical care to politics. They argue that capitalism has let them down, saddling them with student debt, high rent and uncertain job prospects. And they have been frustrated by the Democratic Party, which they say has lost touch with working people.”
I guess field trips to Venezuela are in order.
Beam me up.

My parents used to tell me how they brought me to work for a week in 1959 when the babysitter wasn't available. They worked as civilians in the same building at the old Lockbourne AFB, I was six months old, and I stayed in a playpen next to my mom's desk all day.. I'm sure I was bottle-fed that week, lol.
My dad just shrugged and said, "Hey, we did what we had to do back in those days, and the colonel in charge of the building said he'd allow it, as long as your mom got her work done."

20 years ago, "almost no other jobs" in a corporate office allowed a dress code that wasn't business formal. Whether or not most companies do something doesn't mean it lends itself to a meritocracy.
If a rule isn't for the purpose of making a working environment better or more efficient, then it's largely useless. While one might bring up the notion that her absence might not make Congress function any more or less efficiently, I would argue that her constituents have a right to be represented whenever possible. So long as the child isn't interrupting the proceedings, thus diminishing the efficiency of an already-inefficient house, it wouldn't functionally matter whether the child was there or not. If there's no measurable difference, then who the hell should care?

Sure. That's reasonable. "As long as your mom got her work done." If she didn't, then having the child there would have had a negative effect. That's a reasonable position.

Readers may find it remarkable that these students expected the other people in the room to applaud and validate them for derailing the event. The students
also think the university should refrain from punishing them, because any punishment would contribute to ther mental health problems
This was not an uncommon opinion among the protest's leaders. Nuzzolillo expressed disappointment that the adults "whose job it is to care for us" failed to do so.
So many random stories the weekend. Duke one above was funny.
jay Feely posted a prom pick with his daughter, bf, and a gun. Had to apologize.
an 11 year old was killed in Texas during the gun walkout “protest” by being hit by a car. Fuck that school I hope they now go bankrupt. 11 year olds aren’t smart enough to protest anything jackasses
Yeti dropping NRA sponsored things. Seems like an odd decision given that the brand seems to be marketed toward hunters and fisherman, who are probably more pro 2a. Maybe they’re shifting toward the rich yuppie population who buy them as a status symbol.
ill continue adding, Kanye defended a black conservative named Candace Owen and has been getting all sorts of shit from Liberals. It’s hialrious, being black in liberal America you literally aren’t allowed to have conservative ideals
lol Shania Twain also apologized today for saying she’d have voted for trump. 2018 ‘Merica
Oh yea and new story, shooter with AR in Nashville. Old narrative, no one can go up against an AR, new narrative since a guy did that with no gun, “see, you don’t even need a good guy with a gun”. The media is hilariously retarded. ALSO, kid was known by the government and shouldn’t have gun, they took his gun and gave it to Dad, who gave it back. Arrest him too. It’s almost as if these crazy fucks are simple to identify.

1.) I agree, schools shouldn't be putting 11 yr olds outside to protest stuff. That's just ... wow
2.) I've been watching the Kanye situation. I don't like him very much whatsoever. But he's right in the fact that black people shouldn't be chastised for thinking outside of the prescribed ideology. It happens all the time to folks like Larry Elder, Tommy Sotomayor, Thomas Sowell, etc. Unironically, these people who committed the offense of thinking differently have also found a method of making this backlash swell their paychecks.
3.) I don't get the Shania Twain thing. Why even bother apologizing for hypothetically voting for somebody haha! She's not even relevant anymore.

She seems like she is doing it for the attention....just an attention whore.
PSU Outdoor club no longer allowed to go outside, because it's too dangerous.

What is the backlash here? Are people going to stop buying her music?

In a manner of speaking, those who so strongly oppose her are falling right into it, if that's true.

Ok
What's more dangerous: rugby, or a walk in the woods? At Pennsylvania State University, the administrators apparently think it's the latter.
I would answer that walking into the locker room was more dangerous.
I'll see myself out.

PSU admin probably thought 'outing' club had to do with publicizing names of gay folks or something....

Ahhhhh.....I was thinking maybe you meant the Duke lacrosse team locker room

But did you see what Jerry did there? That's the question.
