I know it's still almost 2 weeks away but does anyone know what they are having to eat during the Super Bowl? I need some new ideas.

We have friends at the house.   We do wings, bacon wrapped tater tots, whatever new thing my wife finds on Pinterest and whatever our friends bring.  One lady makes awesome appetizers so I look forward to her coming.

Current list is chili with fixins, cornbread, mac and cheese and fried chicken. I'm sure there will be all kinds of dips and apps as well. We always have way too much food.

I'll probably make wings or pulled pork to take to our friend's party. I did pulled pork with the sous vide last night for the first time and it turned out fantastic. Super easy to make as well.

I wish I had a house...it'd make it a lot easier for us. I love grilling out for events like this. Bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers are tremendous for it.

My other go-to is a white chili. Spicy one. It even won a chili cookoff back at Veteran's Day.

I've crushing it at pulled pork lately. I may do that or change it up. Thinking brisket.

So something that poisons Tom Brady?

We usually do a buffalo dip, and nothing else real crazy.

I'm no expert, but I've had luck with doing a pork shoulder in the same manner. I'm sure that recipe will be fine.

I've got a brisket in our freezer that I need to attempt to make soon (starting to show some freezer burn). I'm going to attempt sous videing it for a couple days and see how it turns out.

Brisket is a go...

Any meat experts here?

Not an expert, but Brisket is not very forgiving compared to a pork butt.  Do you have an internal temp probe that you can leave in and monitor? For a smoker, it would probably be 225-250 in the smoker and you are cooking until an internal temp of blank. I'd suggest buying a cheap temperature probe that sits in the meat the whole time so that you don't overcook. I have an expensive one for my smoker ($80 or so) that also tells me grill temp, and has alarms, it is invaluable. Also, the resting part is no joke, at least 30 minutes to an hour to let all of the juices redistribute.

Sorry, I didn't even read your second link. I think that recipe looks good and the directions make sense. The only think I'm not sure about is the internal temp. The smoking forums I frequent look to be more at 190-200 internal

Finding the correct recipe is annoying. I've been researching all morning and eveyone says something different.

My son made bacon wrapped meatballs. Other meatballs just putting in crock pot with barbecue sauce. Wife making dip for chips and also fruit dip for fruit tray she made. She also is making her Stromboli and dessert food is brownie bites with chocolate chip cookie dough dip.

My mac and cheese just came out of the oven and it smells pretty fucking good.

There will also be chili, cornbread, stromboli, fried chicken, various dips, and cheesecake. Like I said...always way too much food.

Any plans I had are now out the window. Our daughter (first child) came 4 days early this morning at 9am. So I’ll be watching from a recliner in the post partum room, with something from the cafeteria. Wouldn’t change it for the World.

Make sure you hold that against her the first time she asks for a raise on her allowance.  And congratulations!

Kept it simple here.  Wife fried up buffalo wings and made some cherry cobbler, and I munched on a few tortilla chips and salso.
