Having watched almost every UC game this season, Fickell appears to be a fantastic halftime motivator. Hopefully they come out of the locker room with a bit of fire. A TD on the opening drive is almost a necessity.

Ok, NCAA and NFL should either move the kickoff back another 10 yards or do away with it all together. Waste of time.

Only thing worse than losing to UM is having to bear with an all SEC championship.

Josh Gattis talked a lot of shit for a guy who's offense had as many turnovers as they did points against the starters.

I can’t imagine a more worse outcome than today. Two dud games and now we get Alabama for seemingly the 45th straight year.

Need to write this season off, make the needed corrections, and get back to where the tOSU program belongs. The two losses hurt, but two losses to hot garbage really hurts.

Another year where the championship will be of no appeal to anyone outside the Deep South.

I don't understand how the "powers that be" want this.  They could have made a first round Bama/Georgia game, so this scenario would not happen.  I may tune in for a brief moment, but I won't watch the full game.

Neither will I.  College football on a Monday night with two teams from adjoining states in the SEC = zero appeal.

It’s the two best teams…..I’ll watch. Not sure the need to satisfy the nation. What two schools would bring the whole country in to watch?

Sounds like butthurt that SEC has the two best teams.

Not butthurt, just no interest.  My lack of enthusiasm today is probably somewhat due to both those games yesterday being terrible to watch.

Boy these bowls today have uninspiring atmospheres - empty seats and quiet NFL stadiums

That’s fair. I’ll always watch but I’ve lost a lot with the NCAA basketball, but even then I watch a few games and see teams playing great and it sparks the interest.

Same with NBA….I have minimal desire to watch it but when I turn and start watching a game, I see the high level play and talent and typically enjoy.

I feel like college football is following college basketball into being much less interesting. I know this has happened gradually and not like a switch flipped. I just remember spending so many New Year’s Days watching bowl games with great interest.  There is such a “meh” factor anymore. Maybe it’s just me.

The stars sitting out doesn’t help. I’m with you on these games today. OSU will be fun (hopefully) but the Penn St/Ark and ND/OkSt games are on because it’s pouring down rain outside and just a meh day.

Waiting for NFL tomorrow

I can’t get on board with the “I won’t watch today’s games because they don’t matter” mindset. Especially when Alabama continually just runs a train on everyone anyways. The Outback and Fiesta bowls today have already been more interesting than either of yesterday’s games.
