Did you do it yourself or use a tax service?
Haven't received mine yet either, but the IRS officially took my money from my account for the taxes I owed.
$2900
Going to invest $2000 in Pop-Tarts and with the rest I’m gonna buy Ed Ott rookie cards in bulk.

My wife does our taxes.

Same. I'm not desperately waiting on it fortunately. Just makes me wonder because according to the IRS site it said it was suppose to be deposited yesterday and wasn't, so I don't know if that's a cause for concern or not.

What bank do you use? Maybe its on their end of it.

Huntington. Maybe it is. It’s actually my wife’s account. We’ve never had issues before. I’m reluctant to waste time reaching out because who knows how long it’d take to get through and when I do I’ll probably get some generic answer saying sorry but just wait longer.
Funny story about the stimulus money.
My brother-in-law, for the rest of this story will just be referred to as "idiot" is about 34 years old and never held a job longer than a year, most jobs are just a few months at a time.
The idiot FINALLY had something going well in his life, the idiot had a good girl he was dating/living with that was smart with money and didn't let him quit his jobs like he normally did.
The idiot has had past drug problems (before this girl), and they resurfaced a few months ago. The idiot stole $3000 out of her account (he had access to it) for drugs over a couple months and she broke up with him and kicked him out of her house for good. The idiot is 34 back living with his parents, went through rehab (again) and has had 3 different jobs in the last 2 months that he has lived there.
The idiot looked on the website and found out he got his stimulus check...but it was deposited into her account because that's the account he used for his tax returns the last time he filed them.
I told my wife (his sister) that its just how karma works, he stole $3000 and she got $1200 of it back.
A quote from a former classmate of my wife on FB, "Although my husband and I are not eligible for the money (and that is how it should be), we are blessed to live in a country where these funds are being made available to those who truly need them. USA!!!"
Humblebrag is not the right word here. But I can't think of a better one.
Does she have a legal claim to it? Is it illegal if she just keeps it?

Have the Russians or Chinese hacked our IRS system and inserted their own account numbers into the data base in place of legit E-file taxpayers so they can rob Americans of their windfall?
Received ours yesterday. Checked last night when the mobile banking app was finally working.

I doubt she has a legal claim to it, they were never married. Just a funny "karma got ya" story.
Reached out to bank and they said the deposit was rejected because the names didnt match, so now I guess we wait a few weeks for them to cut us a paper check in the mail. Sounds like my bank fucking sucks because my wife has had this account for years and we've received tax refunds before. Justin, you may want to reach out to your bank as well, assuming the IRS site says yours was suppose to be deposited yesterday.

Had a car loan through them once.
First and last time I'll ever work with them on anything.
