My parents are doing well staying isolated but it’s tough watching them depressed not seeing grandkids for weeks. They usually saw them couple times a week.

Yeah, my girlfriend's been in a funk since she'd babysit the grandkids 2-3x's per week. Now that her son has it, and they are on quarantine, the closest she's gotten to them was Saturday when we left a bunch of Gatorade (dropped it off and left, no exposure) on their front porch for the 1 year old.

Couple of the breweries/beer stores I order from both reduced hours today. Wonder if it’s inevitable they’ll have to temporarily close. That’ll suck.
It appears Hungary may now be a dicatorship.

It's pretty crazy when you realize most of these countries are no bigger than our largest states.
Hungary has a little less than 10M people - a little smaller than MI, which is our 10th most populous state. CA has almost 40M people, vs Italy with 60M people.
Gives you an idea how critical the governors are in handling this. Cuomo was just talking about trying to coordinate capacity and supplies at various hospitals across the state. Yep, that's why some of the most critical decisions are state/local responses. And, ummmm, we've known something like this was coming for at least 20 years and it doesn't sound like they were very prepared for that level of coordination.
We've criticized Dewine some, but he's been pretty on top of this. Although the states with the most cases align almost perfectly with the 10 largest metro airports - could be why MI is seeing more cases than OH, and I believe they have a much higher concentration in the Detroit metro area.
Well this is frightening: "Economists at the Fed’s St. Louis district project total employment reductions of 47 million, which would translate to a 32.1 percent unemployment rate, according to a recent analysis. That figure reflects the high nature of at-risk jobs that ultimately could be lost to a government-induced economic freeze aimed at halting the coronavirus spread."

This is why I really don't expect the current situation to continue beyond the end of April. By that time, our testing capacity should be at least 250k per day. The antibody tests are coming very soon, too, which will be critical in helping identify who has recovered. And we can get tests now in 15 minutes, so this thing can't explode unseen nearly as much as it did before.
Once we have kind of caught up, I think we can go back to work and deal with flare-ups as needed. Not a total return, mind you, but close.

I think that's a fair assessment of DeWine.
I've had my issues with his quickness to level mandates, for obvious reasons, but the things he's mandated would have been wise things to do anyway. I still contend that they shouldn't be mandated, but that's a disagreement of philosophy as opposed to result.

The DMV has pretty much been on one since this started, this just codifies it as a lot of businesses have been shutdown already.
Well, we were completely laid off today. After being dropped to 15, then up to 20 hours. They made the final call today. And with no way to determine a recall date, we were all let go. 27 of us in my department.

Why not take it 2 weeks at a time? Or even one month?

Damn, man. That sucks. Sorry to hear it.
Unfortunately, I think this is going to be a very common occurrence going forward for a while.
