Toledo and Maumee did. I assume most. Fuck, like 300 cities across the country submitted.
My wife and I are about to sell, and we are in city limits. I guarantee Raleigh gets the nod right after we sell and our property value goes up tenfold. Because fuck me...
Don't get too excited. Unless Austin screws up I see it landing there along with the Crew.
I think DC/NOVA/MD has a pretty good chance too. There is a reason there are 3 locations in the DC area. He owns WAPO, owns housing in the area, there is metro access, and it is also close to NYC.
I could see Chicago winning the bid only because were shady as fuck and this has “best offer ;) will win” written all over it.
I think in the end it will be someplace with lots of space. It’s likely to be a campus style HQ, since 50k employees are going to be working there. Austin and the DC area make sense.

Speaking of Chicago.....WTF - saw where the Crate & Barrel flagship downtown is being turned into a Starbucks?!?
they've probably known all along where they're going, and its probably austin or atlanta

Another Starbucks in downtown Chicago?

They may be open to a "hail Mary" offer from one of the other finalists, but there's no way there are 20 cities under serious consideration.

4 fricking stories - largest in the world. I wonder if the city will have to pass a resolution to keep them from making that a giant green & yellow eyesore

4 stories? Hell, can you imagine the douchebagery that's going to attract? We know where the OC's "favorite" Chicagoan will be spending his time.

Starbucks buildings are green and yellow?
Yeah that building is just a block or two from my apartment. Haven’t seen it yet. I don’t know why they’d need 4 stories for a Starbucks but who knows.
I can understand crate and barrel leaving though. Stores on Michigan Ave are so ridiculously expensive, who would ever shop there when you can whip out your phone and buy it online for $50 cheaper? Or drive 20 min to another crate and barrel and buy it for $30 cheaper. Makes no sense.
