I certainly was speaking for my own personal opinion on the matter of killing animals in certain ways.  If my thoughts were construed as being in favor of big govt or making some comment on the states rights vs. federal laws it wasnt.  as far as laws being based on individual opinions i would say that absolutely laws are made on individual opinions of many people.

Oh, I acknowledge that they are.  My statement above was that they shouldn't be.

Uh-Oh! Trump is not loving this, I bet:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-05-23/trump-told-by-judge-not-to-block-users-from-his-twitter-feed

I would think that with Trump's ego, it would be better for him to block people than watch him have multiple meltdowns per hour and bickering with people who are getting rises out of him. For the sake of aesthetics ... just let the manlet block people.

But on the other hand, the ruling has a valid point. If a government official/President wants to use social media, he can't pick and choose. Or rather he shouldn't pick and choose. I don't know. Who would have thought it would even come to a court ruling?

You can use a different login to see his tweets. It’s a dumbass ruling that also holds no penalty for Trump to not continue doing it.

The judge doesn't have a Twitter I'm going to sue her for violating my 1st amendment rights.

Highly doubtful that holds up in a higher court.  Like/hate Trump, a judge needs to do their fucking job properly.  Shit like that is a disgrace. Unless the court's rule that Twitter is a public entity, I don't see how this will ever hold up.  I am sure Twitter doesn't want to be regarded as a public entity, because they would have A LOT of explaining to do.

I have seen a bunch of people celebrating this ruling that are foreigners.  They are saying "well Trump has to unblock me." . Sorry sparky, the 1st Amendment doesn't apply to you.

I don't know....as POTUS, I don't think people should be blocked from reading his communications.  Of course, their position is that twitter is not official communications.

More directly, I'm not sure how trolling the POTUS could be allowed.  So given the choice between not tweeting (ignore it's Trump), blocking readers or blocking trolls, it would seem to be pretty simple and obvious.

You don't need an account to read his tweets though. It's not like IP addresses are being blocked.

True, but I'm not sure of the legality there.  Not sure the standard is whether or not you can read his tweets some other way.

or whether you can reply, even though it's unlikely to be read.

Sampling of today’s headlines:

United Technologies Corp Announces Plans To Invest $15B In US Operations Over Next Five Years, Cites Increased Competitiveness Due To Tax Reform.

In a blog post, Shopfloor reports on United Technologies’ announcement Wednesday that it will make major investments in the US over the next five years, saying that “manufacturers have been expanding at a record clip so far in 2018 as a surging economy and historic optimism is prompting manufacturers to expand, boost supply, and invest back in their workforce,” and adding that United Technologies “is making a major life-changing investment that will impact tens of thousands of people for years to come. Tax reform, the company says, helped make the investment a reality.” It quotes a statement from the company saying, “The competitive tax system resulting from US tax reform is encouraging global companies, such as United Technologies, to make long-term investments in innovation in America.”

Really, cause it looks pretty fucked up right now.

North Korea has not moved at all from their position. They have said all along they will only give up their nukes if the U.S. gives up theirs. The Libya comments were so dumb as North Korea obviously took those comments to heart and figured out that Bolton/ Pence are just like Obama and Bush, meaning to them, not trustworthy. Part of me thinks Bolton made those comments on purpose to kill any talks, because he is a fucking necon and just wants to bomb North Korea.

Also, while North Korea did blow up a testing tunnel, they did not allow any technical experts to actually verify they really did the deed. So, sure looks great, but just like they have in the past, they could still find ways to use other areas to test nukes if they so wanted to.

Trump's letter was so badly written and poorly timed. Apparently, South Korea and Japan were caught off guard with the announcement. So, way to throw the allies under the bus. Oh, and there are Americans now in North Korea to see that testing explosion. So, hell, North Korea could fuck us up real good and just hold the Americans if they wanted. (I doubt they will, but for fucks sake, just wait a few days until the Americans leave.)

As I said from the start, I was cautious about what Trump would be doing, but so far, he is just like every other U.S. President. I'll give him more time so far, but he is failing like everyone else.

In the unlikely event that the ruling is actually applied, it would be interesting to see it applied to all people in government who block people.

Best explanation I've seen is official govt account can't block people.  Personal account you can, but then you can't be making tweets about policy and govt business.  But good luck determining which of Trump's tweets are "official" and which are just his usual mental diarhea.

I'm just wondering what this will do to CC's "Trump's 90% responsible for bring peace to the area and bringing NK onboard!!!!!!!" takes.
