You don't have to be a doctor to be well educated about medical problems. You don't have to be able to order CTs or MRIs or schedule appointments with other specialists from big university hospitals.

But you CAN look at the images, have them explained to you, be told and shown the differences between plaques and tangles, poor over leading books on the subject, go to support groups with others that have to deal with the same thing, learn how to pick people up from the floor, witness the incremental decline and lapses of speech, the staring off, the slack jaw, the incontinence, changes in personality and how to prepare for sundowning, etc.  Right up to the point where somebody no longer knows who her daughter is.

One doesn't need to be an artist to know art.

And it's interesting because we were all told that all we had to do was "just talk to them". Interesting that that was the antidote when it suited you, Ptown. But when it doesn't suit you, one has to be a doctor.

You're full of shit.

If one of ptowns friends or coworkers are showing signs of a heat stroke, hopefully his other colleagues/friends are around to do something.  We all know he won’t do anything without a doctor around.

Reminder that Ptown is the same guy that will trust anonymous sources and unverified reports if it suits his narrative, yet we need violate HIPAA in order to declare that there is something wrong with Biden.

Old does not equal dementia.

Good see this board are still experts in dementia and practicing doctors on the subject.

One can say someone is too old to be President and not think they have dementia.

I know that blows some people's mind on here.

And there it is.

Have you never had a close relative with dementia or Alzheimer’s?

All of us that have understand the difference between someone just  being old and someone who is severely compromised by the disease.

Did you not read the report?

You are correct, however, what is not in serious debate is that beyond a certain age, one's mental faculties decline. I know it first-hand and I'm quite a bit younger than Mr. Biden. The POTUS should be someone at the top of their mental game.

He forgot when his son died.  That's a long-term, prominent event.

But just old age.  Joe is fine, according to Dr. Ptown.

He probably has.  But it's a lot easier to ignore that to pretend Joe just has the occasional memory lapse.

Ptown may be a "moderate", but he's a MAGA-level defender of the Dems.

While I would agree that regular people lacking in medical training might not be qualified to use their observations (or anecdotal evidence) to say an old person's memory lapses are a sign of dementia/Alzheimer's, I would say that, especially when talking about a leader's capacity to rule, the eye test just might be more important than it would be in determining whether Trump or Biden would be the best Wal-Mart greeter.

And when one of the two front-runners to be our next president (who happens to be our current president) is an 80+ year old man who seems to struggle with naming current world leaders as opposed to deceased former ones and kinda, sorta has an oops about when his own kid died, that's an issue. As is it when his projected opponent, who would be his current age in four years, confuses Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi, thinks Jeb Bush was the architect of the former military action against Iraq and feels the key to us beating the Brits in the Revolutionary War involved controlling airports.

But, hey! That's our country; where ancient fucks stay in office until they're dead (Feinstein), even if they occasionally lapse into comas while talking (McConnell), because we're too stupid to actually nominate/vote based on actual merit and instead keep these olds in power because they're the incumbent and that apparently means they deserve their place as long as they want it and can't be challenged within their own party because that breaks some super-important unwritten rule. It'd be nice if we, as a people, had the intellect to realize that since those assholes never will agree to personal term limits, we could enforce term limits on them via the ballot box, but nah, let's have a big-time election between two addled, cranky old bastards and give the winner the controls to the country for the next four years! What can go wrong?!?

Well, it's all about being a team member. We all know that QO is a Republican team player. Likewise, we all know that Ptown is a team player.

Politics aside, QO doesn't deny that he is a team player. He's pretty batamt with it and doesn't appear to care what others think about it.

Om the other hand, Ptown will call names, insinuate stupidity, wiggle and jiggle and even contradict his own self to avoid admitting that he's just as all-in as QO is, just in a different direction.

Many of us have taken care of parents afflicted with dementia; we know exactly what we are talking about.

Yes, there are many elderly who are still sharp, but joe biden is not one of them.  And frankly, many don't think he was ever too sharp.

One has to wonder why the democratic party hangs on to old Joe.  They have a problem if they remove him in this case as a candidate the VP would be expected to be next in line.  Problem is the VP was chosen because skin color and genitalia.  She was low single digits if I recall in the dem primaries.  She is far more cringe worthy than Hillary.  Her cackle is worse.  Problem is if the democrats bypass her for a viable candidate you got Identity politics biting you in the ass.

I think it's funny how Biden's cognitive ability remains a "right wing conspiracy" despite the fact that 57% of the country think he's mentally unfit....85% of Repubs, 66% of Independents, and 25% of Dems (LOL).

U can go 100 pages on this board and won’t see a source questioned unless it goes against the right wing agenda. Mcarthy and Romney who actually interact with Biden  directly contradict what this board says about Biden. I   Will say both of them hate trump however the source basically got the quote accurate.

Perhaps Romney was right both times.  Mocked by the Huffpo in one praised in the other.  I don't dismiss an argument on the source alone.  If you do not get why I criticized the source in this context I don't know how to make it any more clear.

That's basically just QO, and people got tired of calling him on it.

But keep up the delusion that this is some sort of right-wing board because people don't go along with your crazy leftist views.

But this quote was in many news sources correct?

I don't care at this point what Mitt Romney had/has to say, or if he was/is right. I never did like his plasticine ass.

What I will comment on though is people really looking at FOX news like there are ten of them. It's really easy to argue about left wing media because it comprises almost all of the media.

10:1

Super easy.

But then there is always somebody, in this case it's Geeblock's turn, posting about right wing media pretending that it's so numerative.

Maybe it's a proportional counting issue. Do they not teach that, anymore?
