To be fair, the GOP has done nothing to make them a viable party to control the Government.  Right now their only appeal is that they aren't the Dems. 

I do hope they take the house and senate though.  I rather just have gridlock for the majority of my life, and anything to block radical leftist judges.

Maybe the Rs should try to find better candidates than a quack TV doctor to oppose stroke dude, since it seems that with a lot of these notable races, it's less a "the other side has a good candidate, but I'm picking my side no matter what" situation and more along the lines of "both these people suck, so which idiot gets the nod".

Exactly my point the post above yours.  GA and PA should have been easily winnable seats.  The best they could do was Dr. Oz and Walker?  SMH.

If Trump runs/wins nomination again I would agree, but DeSantis and a few others have shown very capable of running a government.

These are ideal candidates.  Controllable and managed by power brokers behind the scenes.  Look at Biden.  This is not new.  In my lifetime Strom Thurmond wheeled into the Senate looking like a literal corpse.  My grandpa looked better in his casket.  Ditto Robert Byrd.  Dianne Feinstein has lost her shit.  Chuck Grassley is like 89 and running for reelection.  I could go on.
