I didn't see a thread about this and it looks like the current NBA thread is inactive.  Did anyone watch the first two episodes?  I thought they were pretty good.  Just assume spoilers from here on out...

Krause (mainly his ego) fucked a lot of things up, but he does deserve credit for putting together two 3-peats around Jordan.  Also, they make him out to be the villain for Scottie's contract, but I say that was a good GM move.  Lock a young player into a long term deal and saved money.  Scottie has himself to blame for that one.

Where can I watch it after the fact? I completely forgot to set up the DVR for it on Sunday.

I loved very minute of it. This is peak nostalgia for me as I was a big NBA fan of the 90s growing up and loved the Bulls. I knew a lot of the story anyways, but it is still great to see the highlights and interviews about the era. In anticipation I guess, I've caught myself watching random 90s NBA playoff games lately.

I was 15 when the Bulls broke up and I was angry then as it made no sense to me. Why would they breakup one of the greatest teams of all time? Once the Bulls broke up, and Jordan retired, my interest in the NBA waned.

I agree on the Scottie point. He screwed himself over with the long term deal. But the Bulls front office still did not make things easy for him.

I also love the early Michael Jordan clips. I knew of 63 point playoff game, but forgot he scored 49 in game 1. Larry Bird's quote on Game 2 and the 63 points is awesome. “That wasn’t Michael Jordan out there,” Bird said. “It was God disguised as Michael Jordan.”

I hope Horace Grant and the recspecs gets some love in this as well as he was instrumental in the first three titles and a great and underated role player.

If you have cable, you can probably just rewatch the first two on demand.

ESPN (or one of ESPN channels) might replay sometime late night this week.

Funny ESPN showed the full version (a few awesome f bombs) and ESPN showed the bleeped out version.

So far these are really well done. Krause deserves a lot of credit both ways but he definitely couldn’t get out of his own way.

We watched it on Netflix last night, but I am not sure if that is because we have the international VPN or if it is available in the states on Netflix as well.

Even Reinsdorf (allegedly) warned him about signing the contract.

I also didn't realize Jordan dropped 49 the game before he dropped 63.  It's pretty hilarious he went golfing the Ainge the day before game 2.  It was pretty funny seeing a short Rick Carlisle appearance from those games.

My biggest takeaway was how lucky they were that Seattle liked Olden Polynice. Pippen was a top-5 player in the league and a straight boss. Can’t believe they got him.

Also, they made the playoffs at 30-52!!!

Yeah, that is wild.  I didn't think that happened in NBA during those days.

I guess with only 24 teams, it makes sense. But goodness, that’s bad.

MJ went off. But games 1/3 weren’t actually close.

Worried he would get hurt so only 14 minutes a game

Make the plays......eh, that worry goes away...

Of course they will say this, but this AM someone had said that episode 4 is the best of the first four.

Was excited to tune this in just as if it was a big sunday night football game.

Not until July I think.
It’s on internationally if you have a VPN.

I can see it. First two were great, but also older footage. I want to see more of the footage that Hordan wouldn’t let be released until now. The 1998 locker room, practices, bus and plane rides and shit.

Cant wait for it to recall his battles against Detroit which should be the next couple episodes I think. The Bad Boys 30 for 30 was my favorite.

That will be good, but I'm more looking forward to the mid 90s battles with Knicks and Pacers. Those were battles, especially in 1993 and 1998. I think most of the years of the Bulls dynasty, the Eastern Conference Finals were more entertaining and a battle than the actual finals. The 1998 Eastern Conference Finals was epic.

I watched Bulls vs. Celtics game 2 today on ESPN+.  Wow, that was some bad basketball (in comparison to today's NBA athleticism).  I have zero doubt that Lebron and many others would thrash the league back then.

As for the first two eps... LOVED them.
