Yeah that was pretty bad.
Committee tomorrow: you have to watch FSU in one of the games instead of Texas
America:
Both of these games tonight fucking sucked
It's too bad there's no expanded playoff this year. I think any of the top 8 or 9 teams could win it all. Definitely no clear favorite.

I wanna know how many kegs they went thru.

There's no way Alabama isn't in and it has little to nothing to do with football.
When do they announce the other bowl hames
Committee got it right - despite the horrible limitations of the four team playoff. If I were an FSU fan, I’d be pissed. But objectively, I think these are the right four teams.
I hope Alabama woodsheds Michigan.
8 teams would’ve been perfect this year
133 teams….4 make the “playoffs”

Gonna be rooting hard for Washington to win it all but I don't think it's going to work out that way.

If I'm Florida State, I'd be seriously considering telling the NCAA to fuck off with its "consolation bowl" with Georgia in a "you screwed us; we're screwing you" move. The only thing they can gain with a win is simply being able to say they should have been in while giving themselves a fictional national title, but if they lose, it gives all the "eye test" people validation.
“Why no Florida State?”

This would be hilarious. Can I get some betting odds on this?

I get what you're saying, but I'll be that guy and point out that the NCAA doesn't do much with the bowl games. That's between conferences and corporate sponsors, so those are the only two that would ultimately get penalized over it.
The CFP committee was in a no-win scenario here no matter who they chose. There were plenty of "deserving" teams that could fit into the top 4... but it isn't their job to pick the 4 most deserving teams, it's their job to pick the four best teams.
They decided that FSU was not one of the four best teams. I can see the rationale behind that. They looked lackluster without their QB.
If they did ultimately include them, I could see the argument for that as well.
It's too bad the expanded playoff wasn't this year. I think anyone in the top 8 or so is capable of beating one another. It'd be fun to see the tournament play out.
I find it interesting to compare computer rankings to the final rankings at the end of the season. Massey does a thing where he averages out a bunch of computer rankings and ranks everyone which (in theory) should reduce bias.
Agree with all of that. I definitely feel bad for FSU, but I'm not surprised they were left out. The expanded playoff would've been incredible this season.
Michigan vs FSU would have been a poop sandwich of a game.
1. Michigan vs 8. Oregon
4. Alabama vs 5. FSU
3. Texas vs 6. Georgia
2. Washington vs 7. Ohio St
This is so easy
