These owners are losing millions a month by not having anything going on in the domes/stadiums they own.

Yes, ticket sales, parking, concessions etc bring in a ton of revenue, but they are going to jump at the tv rights to have a season. They have to make up some amount for the concerts, motocross, auto shows, etc that have been cancelled. Most stadiums are used like 250+ days a year, and now nothing for months. They need anything they can get.

Without fans, the owners are going to lose money to play the games.  Salary cap is tied to previous year revenues, so a big ugly negotiation looms - the players get like 50-53% of revenues, or whatever the new split is.  Cap has already been estimated to drop as much as $70-$80M next year.

Can't answer this question without knowing what all the different contracts say.  But normally you don't pay for an event that isn't held.  The owners most likely would lose more money to play the games then not playing the games.  A shorter season will cost them even more money because of lost tv revenues.

We're talking the same owners who would lock-out players over a few points in revenue sharing.  You can do that math - over a 10-yr CBA it's in the ballpark of what they stand to lose this year with no butts in seats.

The average owner is going to lose about $100M in stadium revenues.  You're talking $70-$80M in losses.  Even billionaires don't usually have that kind of cash on hand.  Some of the owners, like the Rooney's, have most of their wealth in the team.  So they'll need a loan or bailout because it's unlikely any of them want to sell a piece of the team, if that's even feasible given timing.

So GB gets @ $15M per game from tv.  So let's play a 12 game season you say.  Well, now instead of losing $70M they're losing $130M.  And then the potential to cancel the season becomes much greater.

They call you out, you call them a “crybaby bitch boy” and use the “QQ” response while taking personal shots at them that has nothing to do with the argument at hand. You then point out some sort of irony, and deem yourself the winner of the argument because you made the best insult, oh and finish it with the “now cue *your response here*”....it’s honestly pathetic how you act on message boards. 
 

And for the record, I didn’t leave the site because of QO and CC—at least they know they’re right wing idiots. I think if someone new came on here and read his old posts and his posts in the past few years they’d likely say he’s grown up (I can’t make that not sound like an insult...don’t know how to word it) I don’t feel like_that goes looking for things to slam with his ways. S&L came back all fired up and ornery it seems. Sounded same as when you were 22...and seemed miserable more often than not. Kinda here to argue it feels.

I never deemed myself the winner here.  I am still waiting for you to actually provide a legitimate rebuttal to the discussion at hand and you can't do it.  It always has been your track record.
