Funny Joe Burrow high school story that Superman and mhs95 probably recall

During basketball season he was teamed up with his talent tight ends Adam and Ryan Luerhman (twins) they and Joe were all right at 6’3, similar build and blonde hair. At a basketball game at Lucasville vs Valley it was a tight game in the 4th and while all 3 were very good basketball players Ryan Luerhman was struggling with free throws…..so as Luerhman gets fouled at a big moment late in the 4th Burrow stepped up to the line and shot the free throws for him fooling the refs, coaches and fans….initially. As he knocked the first one down everyone started to realize that cared but too late as Burrow already had ball and buried the 2nd….the Valley crowd lost their minds, and the game.

I vaguely remember a story like that of the wrong FT shooter slipping by the refs!  The first adjective that comes to my mind of seeing Burrow play basketball was smooth, the 2nd is effortless.  That 2013 team, when Iby was a freshman, ended up losing to Warren in OT in the regional SF, and Warren lost in the regional final.  It would have been interesting to have seen what would have happened had Iby not transferred.

Correction:  Warren went on to win the regional vs New Philly and be the only public school in the state final 4.  In 2014 Warren knocked out Athens in the sectional final at Logan high school.

Lol at Cowboys

Cowboys typical foible, clock management.  Why not take two shots into the end zone from the 41 yd line rather than take a big chance for getting just one chance from the 24 yd line?

I didn’t see end of Cowboys game but Twitter seems torn between why was the ref so out of position to spot the ball before time expired vs lol at Cowboys playcalling.

Dak should’ve given him the ball….he was hauling towards the play, doubt he expected the sneak. 

Well, still a game so far.  Not sure how.  Still can't believe this offense.

2 huge drops on 3rd down for would be 1st downs and then stopped on a deep ball

Will be criminal if he doesn't get DPOY.  Should have had the sack record, too, but obscure rule took it away.

This offense is what you get when you play small ball and you can barely make it a series without a penalty, missed block, wrong route, drop or missed throw.

Yeah…after Joe threw an interception….now what often happens to quarterbacks after they throw a pick? Players go after thrm trying to get a shot. Watt and he were tangled at the time of the pick and he held him there….not letting him go after tackle or get himself hurt. Joe didn’t like it so he fought back, good for him. I’ve never seen anything about how that was dirty. But everything Pittsburgh does is dirty in the eyes of some sore Bengals fans.
