TBH, we don't care about the Bengals. 

Cincinnati fans don’t normally care about the Bengals either - just once every decade or two when the bandwagon gets moving a little

That’s a real slippery slope. Whistle clearly happened before catch. I agree it didn’t matter, but I don’t think that can be a judgement ruling. That’s gotta be a black and white rule which would’ve meant no TD.
