In the last 10-12 months.

  • New job (closer to family, but a move 14 hours away and away from my wife/kids for 7+ weeks)
  • Home sale (finally under contract, nearly 12 months later)
  • Home search
  • Childcare costs (with the addition of a third child too)
  • Student loan repayment
  • Kentucky pension issues affecting wife's job

I'm in the process of doing some financial planning, again. It'll all be swell in 16 months. Then, it'll be even better in 60 months. Just have to push through these next 16 months before a little freedom happens.

The last year of work until I became eligible for retirement without a penalty.  The fact I had a calendar grid on my desk of how many days I had left (365, 364, 363, etc.) probably didn't help.

Not old enough to have too much stress but I'd say prior to 2018 it was probably studying for the CPA exam. Post 2018 having a baby is stressful as shit, mainly bc of the arguments with the wife it leads to.

I haven't had many super stressful times. I was broke as fuck during most of undergrad, which was no fun at the time. But I made it, and looking back now it doesn't seem that bad.

My husband and I are probably going to try to have a baby soon, so I'm sure that will lead to some stress. Guess we'll find out.

I'm way too apathetic to be stressed.

Dealing with a recent widow who didn't pay the flood insurance before Hurricane Ike, and completely lost her million dollar home in Galveston Texas.

I get a call from the VA doctors wanting to have meeting … why I ask…. .    Test showed you have Cancer.

I'm guilty of such also.

I'm not guilty of anything. I don't work about things I can't change.

I only declared that I was guilty of that which you professed.  I hope you didn't see my post as declaring you guilty of anything.  I appreciate your clarification just in case my post was misunderstood.

After college, I didn't have a career job (and one wasn't going to happen). So I moved to a large city with about $5k to my name and no job. Gave more than half to my landlord for First/Last/Security Deposit. No job and not sure how'd I'd make the next month's rent was very stressful.

Trying to sell an old house that we've rented out for the past 7 years or so.  Causing me quite a bit.  SUCKS.

I got ghosted by one of the people that I care about the most in the world at the end of October. Super shitty thing to do to someone. Total mindfuck, makes you doubt everything.

Ghosted?

Cut off all contact immediately with no explanation.  Stop texting back, block you on social media, avoid you in public, etc.

They turn into a ghost.

Its usually something that happens more with people you’re casually dating and not somebody you’ve known and been close with for years.
