Let me know if you get a good sleep tonight lol
Beautiful Boy. 8/10. Good look at the cost of addiction to a family. Steve Carrel was great and the kid who played his addict son was Oscar worthy.
The Old Man with a Gun. 9/10. Supposedly Robert Redford’s last time in front of the camera. If so, he’s like Ted Williams - ending with a HR during his last at bat.

You'd have to read his comment on seeing it, but yes, oddly enough.
Wizard of Oz
10.
The Grinch, 8/10

Agreed. It was a good but not the greatest ever. Typical Harry Potter movie.

I'm not a Harry Potter fanboy, so anything that referenced the movies was lost on me.
Fortunately, the movie worked fairly well as a stand-alone. I'm not sure Colin Farrell gets enough credit as an actor.
Still, the story was disjointed at times, so you're right. Not amazing. Not a bad movie, though. I'd probably watch it again at some point.
Wreck it Ralph breaks the internet. Kids seemed to enjoy it. I couldn't possibly rate it though as I had no expectation.
Widows - I can't decide on a score. Excellent cast, good acting, so much potential...but my friends and I left with a lot of questions. Maybe a 5?
Creed II - 8/10. Loved it. Thought it was better than the first. There were no surprises, but that's fine with me.
Logan Lucky - 7.5/10
I can in with low expectations. It just kept popping up places, and the cast was good, so I gave it a shot. Pleasantly surprised.
The Grinch 8.5/10
The Meg 20/10. Anytime you can watch a ridiculous movie about a huge, prehistoric shark getting fucked up by Jason Statham you do it.
Home Alone - 12/10
Home Alone - 11/10
Home Alone 2 - 12/10
Hitman - 7/10
I probably would have ranked it lower after the first viewing. The plot, while not nonsensical, is convoluted as a reflection of the meandering corruption expressed as part of the Russian governmental bureaucracy. Having seen it a few times, though, the plot is easier to grasp, and the movie ages well.
I think Timothy Olyphant is underrated as an actor.
