That's baller.

I bought a bike 3 weeks ago, should get here early September due to COVID shortage. I'm hyped. I don't know why it took me this long to start biking here.

Jealous, we had a huge patio but in and wanted a hot tub but the HOA said no. Also was going to get a fence installed but it’s 10 weeks out for install so I’ll just wait until next spring

Ten weeks isn't bad. This is the email we got from one of the few fencing companies with decent reviews in Cincinnati:

We are currently approximately 15-20 business days(M-F being those business days) from a sales rep getting in contact with you to set up a time to come out and do your estimate. Once your estimate is complete the sales rep will get a quote to you as soon as they can. Once you get your quote and want to proceed, you will need to put a 50% deposit down on the job total and we are scheduling, weather depending approximately 21-22 weeks out for installation from the time of deposit.

Why would they care if you put a hot tub on your back patio?

I wouldn't live in an HOA neighborhood even if they paid me.

Yeah, count me in for the reasoning for HOA saying no to a hot tub, besides jealousy.

I have an HOA.  It's not bad at all, but then again, I don't have asshole neighbors that want to put in a hot tub.  :)  Just kidding.  Ours is pretty laid back.  We can do pretty much whatever we want, within reason.  Like I can't paint my house hot pink.  Keeps the neighborhood looking nice.

The not hot tubs or pools is in the by laws same with no privacy fences. Are HOA is dumb my neighborhood is less then 100 houses and we pay for them to basically cut a football fields worth of grass about once a week in the summer. I’ve never seen them enforce anything except making someone take down a chain link fence. I could probably get away with a hot tub but I don’t wanna buy one for 10k then have them tell me I have to ha e it removed.

Damn 10 weeks isn’t bad at all compared to yours. I also called two companies for quotes and o e came the same day and the other one day later.
