Overrated? Maybe. It is a great one to sing along to which makes it a good one for sporting events. I would place it top 5 national anthems.
I think the best is actually Russia's. It is just badass. I also like Italy's a lot, sounds like a great drinking song.
I would place ours near the bottom and Britain's dead last.

I didn't say last, I said near. Britain's is the worst. Too slow and depressing.
Ours is hard to sing, hard to sing to, has no chorus, and is often too slow. Musically it is a mess.

I just don't think musically it is a good national anthem. Now, I would prefer God Bless America as the national anthem, as it checks all the boxes. It is better arranged, better lyrics, and easier to sing and sing to.

And, let's face it, it's only a matter of time until the snowflakes get rid of the SSB for "glorifying war" and make God Bless America our national anthem (if they can figure out how to get rid of the parts about God).
