It's the people you could pass it to is why they ask you to wear a mask, genius.
Didn’t one hillbilly from Ohio say “I’m not scared” and then die of corona? CC better be careful!

CC is not capable of thinking rational thoughts.

It's not about YOU, moron.
Went to the store this morning. Wore mask. Was surprised at the number of people without.
It’s mandatory in Illinois now. Gotta wear it to go into a business.

I'm not surprised. If it isn't mandatory, it still feels silly and uncomfortable to wear.
People, especially younger than 50, think "hey, I feel fine I'm not sick why do I need a mask???". Culturally, in America, it doesn't really fit. I'll be amazed if we get high compliance to wearing masks. Is that store, starving for business, really going to kick you out? No one is actually going to police that.
And this is the craziest thing for me: Outdoors. So the virus only lasts 90 seconds outside in the summer. But joggers aren't going to wear a mask, and how many feet does the average jogger cover in 90 seconds? A 10-min miler covers roughly 800 feet in 90 seconds. That's roughly 133X social distancing recommendations.....that jogger is saying "GFY social distancing". And dosage matters and yada yada...just pointing out the absurdity.

I think that should probably be the case everywhere. It's really not a burden to wear a mask to go to the grocer or ride the subway. Those two are probably 95% [guessing] of transmission.
For me the challenge is visiting my parents. It's not realistic to wear a mask 24/7 around them. So maybe I only see them a few hours a day, and then go stay at a hotel? In that scenario I'm literally increasing risk, for everyone. Otherwise hope I'm negative and roll the dice that I won't infect my parents?

What is crazy? Unless someone sneezes in your mouth directly, you are fine outdoors. It’s literally the safest place possible.
I’m not wearing a mask unless mandatory. Went to Costco the other day and 80% of people had one, all the Karen’s were definitely judging me for not having one. I don’t currently have it and I’m not coughing or sneezing so not going to spread it. From the comments on here and twitter, the government has done a horrible job explaining to people how this spreads.
All of these states mandating all these measures now seems stupid. Should have done this 8 weeks ago. Kind of like deciding to wear a condom after you have already knocked your girlfriend up.
The curve was flattened. Lets get back to normal

I think the government has done a fine job explaining how it spreads. It's people who think like you, say you are feeling completely normal and don't take any precautions that spread it. Sit and think to yourself for a second, we are in lockdown and it is still spreading, how is that?
Someone needs to Google the word asymptomatic. Derppp.. those Karens...showed them!
We spent most of yesterday outside because it was so nice. A nearby neighborhood has a brewery and recently started allowing open containers in their downtown area so we grabbed a beer to go and just walked around outside. LOTS of people outside. Lots of groups congregating. Very little social distancing. Almost zero masks.

We social distanced and didn't congregate. But we were definitely in the minority.

Clearly they haven’t when you have people on here and in the country complaining about people on beaches. There has been almost no cases linked to the outdoors. I didn’t say I don’t take precautions, I just don’t wear a mask. I’m not coughing or sneezing on shit, so I’m not spreading it. I use hand sanitizer before or after I touch anything, and don’t get close to people at the store.
