OK, way to walk back your dumbassery.

And apparently you're still struggling to understand what "asymptomatic" means.

Dude, I understand it. I know if I’m spreading spit. You are struggling with reading.

It’s funny that you say people not wearing masks are going to keep us in longer.

There are two ways to get back to normal. The first is we get a vaccine. The second is we get herd immunity. Someone going out without a mask isn’t keeping us in any longer. They are putting themselves and others in a more dangerous situation but they are not making this last longer.

Looking at death rates the odds of someone dying under the age of 50 are very very low. I would protect the vulnerable and let everyone else go about their business with social distancing and mask wearing. As long as we don’t overwhelm hospitals we need to open up as much as possible.

No, you don't.

Asymptomatic means you aren't coughing and sneezing - which are symptoms you fucking moron.  But still you're spreading it.

Icl really doesn’t know what he’s talking about, he’s just sick of the quarantine and trying to move everyone past it. But none of what he’s saying makes any sense. He has no clue how it’s spread or what’s “safe” and what isnt.

How could you possibly know that?

You're only talking about delaying infection.  These actions buy time for, potentially, a vaccine....or theraupeutics.

Masks reduce the rate of infection.  That's a fact.  That can be beneficial, potentially.  But "herd immunity" is literally giving up and allowing the virus to do its natural thing.  And I'm not saying that's the wrong answer, just that you're advocating doing nothing as a solution.

I agree with this.  Most of the people at risk are retired.  They can social distance and quarantine with minimal impact on the economy.

How are you spreading it? The disease is spread through droplets. If you aren't talking, coughing, sneezing, you aren't spreading droplets. Breathing does not spread droplets, and even if it was it would be inches from you. I don't get within inches of people. I know what asymptomatic means dipshit.

Google how Covid is spread. It isn't rocket science. The reason governments are opening parks is bc they have talked to experts who said as long as you are distancing it is ok to open. Same thing with beaches and the restrictions put in place (distance, not sitting, moving).  I'm not advocating having a rager on the beach with all the frat bros in Myrtle Beach.  And I wouldn't eat indoors at a restaurant, bc I don't trust other patrons. I know going into a grocery story that I need to be extra careful for the 15 minutes I'm there, and I am cognizant that if I do have to sneeze or cough that I do it into my elbow or lift my shirt over my mouth. I will wear a mask to Costco bc it is mandatory. I'm all for people that are scared or vulnerable to stay at home. And certain industries won't be able to open anytime soon (concert venues). I work for a company that is in charge of getting people to come to our location, and now to do it safely. I read all sorts of CDC and other documents (we have a large medical university that is working with us) that they are using for the plan to open up restaurants for outdoor seating only starting on Monday.

Gee might the lowered rate be because of the precautions being taken?

Not really....people are everywhere.  Lowes, kroger, street parties in neighborhoods....no HS age seems to be social distancing at all.

Update:

Wife has been symptom free since Tuesday and is officially off quarantine tomorrow.

My 16 year old only has a terrible headache left, but is otherwise better.

My sister and dad have been symptom free for about 5 days.

My mom was symptom free for 1 day and “got it back” (she could have just had 1 good day). She is starting to feel better, but not 100% yet.

My 18 year old, 13 year old, and myself have never had any symptoms at all. We will still be quarantined until this weekend.

I think that NYC pic is old. Not a single mask. Also cops are patrolling parks heavily.

This was from my run yesterday. This park is usually slammed on a nice Saturday.

I saw a few masks in the photo, and the guy who supposedly took it posted the EXIF data showing date and place. It could be fake, but it doesn’t appear to be.

A lot of people wore masks while mowing before this pandemic because of their allergies. And maybe it makes her feel safer to wear mask and gloves. Besides that, what’s it to you?
