Could not be more wrong about OB%. Number one goal of any at bat is to not make an out. Get on base without creating an out in the process is baseball in its most basic form. Do that and it's a successful at bat.

It gets too much credit when a player gets intentionally walked or pitched around and adds to their stats. No skill involved in that. Defensive decision to let him get to first....and even more with 2 outs and no one on.
It can be the most important stat and still get too much credit.
Some of these aren't controversial enough. Maybe because I agree, or it's the delivery. If you post with an aggressive tone it will come off as more controversial. For instance:
