Let's say you find a machine that lets you control the weather. How would you control the weather for the year? Nice and sunny all year long, or are you a fan of all 4 seasons?

My personal paradise, weather-wise, would be:

3-month Spring, 60-70º, one night-time thunderstorm each week
3-month Summer, max high of 85º, low humidity, one night-time thunderstorm each week
4-month Fall, 60-70º highs, lows in the mid-50s, one night-time thunderstorm each week
2-month Winter, 25-30º, little to no wind, snow accumulation the entire time

I like your system, I wouldn’t change much. I could go for thunderstorms more frequently in the summer. My most important thing would be no overlap with the seasons. I’d keep the three month per season schedule but on March 1st it’s going to start looking like spring.

70s and sunny year round. 1 day of snow, Christmas Day. That’s it.

80’s from March to September. 60’s from Sept to Dec. 50’s in Jan and Feb. Always sunny unless a storm. The greyness of NE Ohio for 6 months was legit depressing.

January....low of 45, high of 55, partly sunny no wind except for the last 3 Wednesday’s where we have 2-4 inches of snow and 30 degrees .....3 snow days for school

February....low of 50, high of 60, partly sunny, no wind. 1 Wednesday 30 degrees with 2-4 inches of snow

March.....low of 55, high of 65, mostly sunny/partly sunny. 2nd Wednesday 2-4 inches snow 30 degrees

April....low of 60, high of 72, 5 mph winds some of the days. Partly/mostly sunny

May....low of 60, high 75, mostly/partly sunny...a couple storms in the evening

June-August....low of 60, high of 85, sunny and warm enough to get the pool to 83 degrees. Low humidity. 1 storm a week

Sept-Oct....low of 55, high of 75, partly/mostly sunny

 

Nov/Dec....low of 45, high of 60....partly sunny. 2-3 75 and sunny days each month

I want the leaves to change and fall and get enough rain water at night to water crops, flowers etc. Won’t have to use furnace/air much...windows open.

Winter - Day after Thanksgiving until January 31. Highs of 30, lows in the teens. Snow quite a bit and 6”-8” on Christmas Eve/Day, sunny every day.

Spring - February 1 until May 30. Highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s. Sun every day, when not raining. 3 rain showers/storms a week, 2 overnight and 1 in the later afternoon to evening. Nice breeze.

Summer - June 1 to August 15. Highs in the 80s lows in the 60s, with 1 stretch of humidity and 95 degrees. Just to remember what it’s like). Thunderstorms once a week, sun every day. Nice breeze everyday for cooling off.

Fall - August 16 to Thanksgiving. Highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s. Rain once a week, at night. Little to no humidity. Sun every day.

6 months of summer, 100*+ 100% humidity

6 months of winter, negative temps 30mph winds.

I also hurt myself to see if I still feel.

I actually thought about that. Went with August 15 so they would have to suffer for a week! I also wouldn’t hate Winter/cold/snow on Thanksgiving. But over time, I think I prefer fall weather on that day.

December 1 - January 15 - some snow, sunshine and high temps around 30, lows around 15 - 20.  No snow on streets or sidewalks, only on grassy areas.

January 16 - September 15 - highs in the 70's, lows in the 50's, 1 inch of rain on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday between 2am and 5am.

September 16 - November 30 - highs between 40 - 60, lows 35 - 45, sunshine, 1/2 inch of rain on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday between 2am and 5am.

I think I'd switch it to 4 months of summer and 3 of fall to have a bit more heat, but other than that, I really like this idea.

As long as I have access to a pool, give me 80s and sunny with lowish humidity the majority of the year.

From mid-March to mid-May, 50-65 every day.  Overcast.  A rain every three to five days ranging from a mild drizzle to a heavy downpour.

From mid-May until mid-September, sunny and 70-85 degrees with a light, warm breeze with a heavy rain for a couple hours once every couple weeks in the evening.

From mid-September until December, crisp days from 40-55 degrees, but with a light frost in the mornings.  Little to no wind.  No real rain.  Leaves turning.

From December until mid-March, make it 20-30 degrees with no wind and 1-5 inches of snow 90% of the time, with just a few big snows during that stretch.

I like the seasons, aside from the few spells of blistering heat and frigid cold.

So remove those and give me 10x more snow in the winter and I'm good.

95 with <10% humidity and sunny year round.  Only rains at night, except for 1 big daytime thunderstorm each month. 

If I want seasons or cold temps and snow I'll take a vacation.

I would lower winter and fall to one month and add it to the summer.

 

can we schdule the thunderstorms for like a Tuesday overnight, Wed AM.
