Yeah it was a nothing burger, but Trump once again trolled the media into hyping up a primetime address for millions of viewers.  All the hype just for him to spew his normal talking points about the wall.  When will the media learn its lesson?  TDS gonna TDS.  The only outcome out of this is Nancy/Chuck turned into a meme from last night.  That's the only L out of all of this.

Yeah, I watched his address and the response as it was on right after the wife was watching NCIS, so we just kept it on. As soon as Nancy/ Chuck came on, we both just laughed and said , "Oh God, that looks bad."

I know Trump was elected to shake up Washington, but it is remarkable how much things are still the same since the Obama years.

Our whole country is taking L after L. The media sucks, the dems suck, the pubs suck. If someone hates Trump, they have TDS, if someone likes what he is doing, they are racist. I salute the level headed people who can sit and watch the news for longer than 10 minutes. Trying to decipher through all the lies for a little truth is exhausting.

I agree with most of this, except the bolded part.  It's really easy to tell the difference between someone who legitmately hates Trump vs somebody who has TDS.

You mean our country over values the importance and power of the POTUS?  Colored me shocked.  Gut has said on here numerous times more/less has changed since 2016.

Yes, he has been saying this shit for years.  It was a primetime opportunity to rehash his points to millions of viewers. All this jerking off to Trump and you are telling me you never heard these talking points before? LOL

I guess I should not be shocked at the number of politicians that cannot put their country first and subordinate their personal hatred for the sake of the nation.  McCain couldn’t do it and it cost The People dearly; and certainly Pelosi/Schumer and all the new Marxists in the House can’t do it.  What a pathetic lot.

the point was that they arent "talking points".  They are facts and facts dont care about your feelings or politics.  If we dont follow our own laws and people die.......then we are stupid.  Trump is trying to fix that

Ah, the argument that comes out after a shooting when the anti-gun people are using homicides to yell about making it more difficult to obtain them.

Trump just walked out of the meeting after Pelosi rejects wall.  Bravo.

When, if ever, was the last time the dems did the compromising?  Screw ‘em.

It’s funny because I keep hearing people brag about pelosi and Obama voting for a wall back in the day but I don’t think they realize that this was a concession for other things they wanted for immigration rights. It was in fact part of negotiations. But even if dems in the past haven’t negotiated does that make it right to not negotiate now? Especially when the govt is shut down? Funny how you guys change what is acceptable when it fits trumps actions

That's partisan politics for you. On this site, there is no one better at moving the line between "THIS IS GREAT; SUCK IT HATERS!!!!" and "THESE ACTIONS ARE RUINING THE REPUBLIC!!!!" based on who is making the actions and who is in power than QQ.

LOL. Thanks, I guess. I'll tell my liberal friends that and they will be shocked.

At this point, I think the Ds can offer a unlimited amount of money for broader border security, but no wall, and Trump would still reject it.

I do see a path where we at least move the goalposts. Trump declares a national emergency, gives up on the wall being part of the budget for now, the Government reopens, and Trump uses other funds to piece meal the start of the wall under his Executive Authority.  (The libertarians won't like it as it one more example of Executive Power)

QO is the most partisan lemming I have seen on here by a good distance.  He not only believes one of our political parties has a monopoly on truth, he views is so black and white as to equate it to a fight between good and evil for "The People's" future.  He sounds like G. Gordon Liddy when he had his horrific radio program.

Am I the only one that realizes QO has been trolling for years?  He has been very consistent, I will give him credit.

Trump is not a DC politician.  If business has concluded, adjourn the meeting and do not waste further time. Real world.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the left-wing media, construction of a wall in McAllen, TX begins next month, a city besieged by illegals.

Interesting how you seem to have a boots-on-the-ground perspective not only on this, but virtually every hot button domestic political issue of the day.
