You can’t disagree with that, as those are the facts.

I guess that is YOUR opinion

Border Patrol agents have made about 1.82 million arrests at the southern border so far in the government’s fiscal year, which runs from October to the end of September. The number beats the record set last fiscal year, which was 1.66 million apprehensions in the year ending September 2021.

Not given what was found from the investigation and the actual FISA judge. It is not my opinion, that’s what happened, it’s really not that difficult.

They are terr, but the problem is our elected officials hide behind these bureaucrats, instead of actually doing their jobs.  This in my opinion, makes elected officials much worse.

I agree.  I guess I am referring more to the entrenched bureaucracy that seeks to undermine rare elected officials that attempt to make a change.  Either way it's like comparing what is worse dog shit or cat shit.

Hey, we made it 246 years, longer than most empires.  It's been a fun ride.

When those in charge of government are literally teaching and espousing irresponsibility, you know the republic is in danger.

According to you, the republic has been in danger since you got on this site.  When's something going to finally happen?  You're sounding like Pat Robertson and his regular world ending predictions.

It is happening; it has been happening; you just haven't figured out where we are on the slippery slope yet.

Quit being so cryptic.  Where exactly are we on this slope?  How much longer do we have?

Do you think you're onto something?  Or are you like the people that claimed the country was coming to an end:

  • In the run up to the Civil War over slavery
  • During the industrialization period ("death of farming")
  • Womens suffrage
  • Upon entry into WW1
  • Upon joining the League of Nations (ceding our sovereignty)
  • Great Depression (permanent economic failure)
  • Entry into WW2
  • Joining the UN
  • Internal communist plot (McCarthyism)
  • Nuclear war
  • Communist world domination (Korea, Vietnam, Cuba)
  • Domestic revolution (60s war protests)
  • Civil rights passage and desegregation
  • Watergate leadership coup
  • NAFTA
  • Japanese manufacturing (80s and 90s)
  • Chinese manufacturing (00s to present)
  • Illegal immigration (1920s to present)

Many more I'm sure.

Up to $20k education loan forgiveness for people make 6-figures?

If you can't pay back student loans making 6 figures I'm just going to assume you didn't study finance/accounting.  And I will also guess you're driving a car that costs over $40k.

Tell that to the average bloke making the median HOUSEHOLD income of $62k per year.

That should get colleges to start reeling their out-of-control spending.

I don't know how it would work for the smaller and newer colleges out there that lack large endowments, but the college should be on the hook at least as a co-signer, if not the financier.

I saw someone in admissions somewhere acknowledge they have to offer a holistic experience and it's very competitive to attract students.  And I get that, but why should the taxpayer have to fund resort-style living for 5-6 years?!?  College costs have gotten out-of-hand because they're more focused on providing a lifestyle instead of an education.

College doesn't have to be free, because it still provides a good ROI for most.  But what the taxpayer might provide is a guaranteed loan for a shitty, spartan dorm room with mediocre food.  Make it 1/3 the cost, and then the graduate needs to pay back the taxpayer.

$100k per year is plenty to pay back college loans if that person doesn't suffer from financial idiocy.  $100k is the top 1/3 of all income earners.  $40k per year above the median - no reason that person can't afford to pay back their loans.

And some couples making nearly $250k per year just got a $40k handout.
