So you're implying that protesting is only ok only when it fits your agenda? NO WAIIII

Not at all; protest all you want (as in outside chambers), just do not attempt to derail a process agreed upon by elected representatives.

Do Democrats really want Obama on the campaign trail?  With him as POTUS, Dems lost 1000 seats across state and federal govt over the past 4 elections.

Don't know what ya got til it's gone.

I'm not sure he actually cares about them now, even.

Right.  Presidents, even former ones, tend to have this permanently endearing quality to their base.  If running for president, and winning as it turns out, was for the purpose of sealing up a long-term legacy for his brand, it wasn't a bad idea, and he obviously did accomplish the actual task.

As for whether or not it was actually good for the country, well ...

What does that have to do with him someday being the most narcissistic former President?

Former presidents dont have a brand.  History writes their chapter.

Former presidents who become, or return to being, CEOs of large companies have brands.

In fact, all CEOs have brands.

Being a former POTUS is good for a CEO brand.

If you need me to go through that again, let me know where I lose you.

That story makes no fucking sense. You are mixing your variables. Its stats 101. So what if there are more LGBTQ than conservatives? You are assuming all LGBTQ are liberal (that may not be the case).  The correct story should be how many conservatives are there compared to liberals. Looking at the data, it seems actually that over 50% of the students are somewhat liberal and centrist (44% somewhat liberal, and 16% centrist). That is the not a catchy headline on a conservative news source, so they spin the data to fit their narrative.

I think the point of the story is not so much ‘stats’, as it is raw numbers:  Group ‘A’ outnumbers Group ‘B’.

Factcheck says that is correct.   :)

Maybe some of the LGBTQ are conservatives or libertarian, you don't know.

You can be both LGBTQ and conservatives, so that mixes the numbers and you cannot directly compare them. It is the classic apples and oranges.

Also, I actually think that more centrists outnumber conservatives as newsworthy and a good sign. We need more centrists and moderates today.

It's a circumstantial correlation.

There are possibly more redheads than those who identify as conservative, as well.  It means nil.

Even though the percentage of LGBTQ that are conservative are low, I know 2 in my "immediate" family that are LGTBQ and conservative.

I know several as well who are both LGBTQ and conservative (one is an anarchocapitalist FFS).  They both identify as Christians as well and attend Protestant churches regularly.

Of course, these anecdote's don't speak to the whole like an actual study would, but nothing mentioned in this little tangent, the study QO cited included, does.

I think that study maybe says more about how conservatives, at least young conservatives, have been shamed into hiding that fact.  It's sadly funny that you have the media and celebrities basically bullying conservatives by constantly associating them as racist and sexist.

Which is why I look forward to a day when Libertarians actually matter.  And I've seen more than once Libertarians being associated with Conservatives, or in some cases to the right of Conservatives.  Obviously that is grossly false, but that's the state of liberalism today.
