How do we not have a Buckeye football thread on a (minor league) Ohio message board? Discuss.
Early signs show potential for the Buckeye to NOT be as electrifying (on offense) as in years past. I thought the defense looked good!

Michigan will beat them by 14+ again this year
Week 1 thoughts in no particular order.
Defense did look really good. Have to see them against a good offense, though, as neither of Indiana's QBs had any notable experience.
Day really dropped the ball last year with how he'd keep Stroud in the game long after it was decided to (I guess) pad his stats for Heisman consideration. McCord and Brown could have used more actual reps. Other than the start against Akron two years ago, McCord is very untested and Brown entered Saturday with 18 hand-offs to running backs and one run himself. And that showed. McCord has a few good throws, but generally seemed to be inconsistent on anything more complex than 3-7 yard short routes. Made arguably the best 1-2 WR punch in the country look very pedestrian. Brown just looked nervous in the backfield in his very small amount of playing time. Seemed to have happy feet.
Thought Trayanum looked the best of the three who got all/most of the carries. Williams did well in short-yardage situations and Henderson was about the same as last year -- a guy who is very good in space, but struggles to get there. Seemed that on a lot of his carries, he'd get the ball and immediately run into contact. Whether that be on the offensive line or on him for not being able to find the holes, I'm not sure, but I did notice that on Trayanum's first drive, the run game suddenly got more consistent.
Play-calling felt too conservative, but it wasn't like the QB play was justifying an "open it up and let it rip" style of play, so I'll just say that they better really gel together against the two low-tier opponents they'll be playing this Saturday and next or there will be a lot of disappointment from Notre Dame on, as the team that we saw playing last week would get beat by them, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin and Maryland.
Wasn’t real impressive but style points don’t matter if you beat Penn St, Michigan and B10 Championship
Hoping local kid Reid Carrico gets some shots at LB

Thank you for starting the thread.
Win on the road by 27 and drop spots in the polls. Pundits weren’t impressed about the offense.
McCord missed so many downfield reads. Easily 5-7 times missed the chance to throw a 40 yard plus TD to a wide open receiver . Instead he took the 4 yard dump pass

I predict Indiana will have a decent season and this win will look good in retrospect.
Interesting 4th down call by OSU on the goal line.
Another awful 4th down play call.
3rd (or 4th) time’s a charm. Crazy game.
Buckeyes won, Ryan Day verbally stuffed a senile old man into a locker, good night for me.

4 0T’s with Akron wasn’t a great look
I can confirm Indiana is trash.

No it wasn't. I'll still hold my opinion. May have to eat crow, but not yet.
