I'd agree with like-that's list, great stuff on there.
I've had some drunken nights at Churchkey and Jack Rose. (Never a good idea at a Scotch bar to point to a bottle and say, let me try that one...when hammered)
I've been to the MGM recently, went on Christmas Eve. I like it. It is clean, nice, and your typical MGM.
I'd also add a few places off of 14th:
Place near Jack Rose: Bar Charlie.
A bar I have a soft spot for near Dupont circle: The Big Hunt

Fun year ahead.
Myrtle Beach for a week over the 4th of July with a bunch of family + kids.
Long weekend in Chicago in September. No kids.
Week all-inclusive in Riviera Maya in November. No kids.
We are also doing a couple of nights at Kalahari with a group of friends and all our kids and then potentially a 4 or 5 day weekend to friends place in the UP.

Did this one last year. I would agree it's a great one to check out.

If you can get a ticket, the African American Museum is great. It will take most of the day.
Otherwise, yeah the NPG is great. Air and Space is pretty good, but if you can make your way out to it, the ones near Dulles is very good as well. It has one of the space shuttles as well as an SR-71. It is not as big as the one in Dayton, but it is not bad either.

If you are willing to pay, the Newseum is legit and so is the spy museum. A little change of pace from the well known (and free) Smithsonian museums.

I enjoyed the spy museum, and wasn't as packed as the Air and Space.

The National Archives is tremendous...the Constitution is a must-see.
6 days in DC Staying in Arlington area
Thanks for suggestions. We get in early afternoon on a Thursday before the A-10 tournament, so only have time for 1 museum.
No trips planned. I'm sure I'll get a week away in late July or early August this summer. We just had our third (and final) kid nearly two weeks ago. We won't be going far.
Heading to Santa Cruz in a couple of weeks for a weekend of hiking.
In July, going to some Scandinavian countries: Finland, Sweden, & Denmark. Going to be a split of hiking and cities. I really hate hot weather so this is a perfect mid summer trip.
Probably the annual trip to the Michigan side of Lake Michigan.
