Pittsburgh proves you can only commit so many absolutely fucking stupid turnovers before you ain't winning shit.

They were lucky to even be in that game.  Not sure what game you watched, but they were outplayed on both sides of the ball.  The turnovers were basically a wash - 2 Darnold interceptions and a missed FG kept them from being boat raced in the first half.

Steelers suck and are very fortunate not to be 0-2.

I root for losses - Tomlin needs to go.  Tired of mediocrity year after year after year while people polish Tomlin's knob like he's accomplished anything in this league without Cowher's coaches and players.

Why can’t Baltimore or Kansas City have their seasons derailed by injuries for a change

Tomlin was puffing his chest all preseason about a "special, historic" defense.

He's a fucking clown fraud.  Only question now is just how much tolerance for embarassment Rooney has.

I'm with you 10000%. He can go after this year. I'm so over spending fuckloads on defense and still ccontinue to get shredded.

The fact that he survived last year's collapse is insane. I appreciate what he's done, but it's time for a new direction.

Steelers are a 6-11 team….Heyward, Watt or Ramsey make huge plays to give them that 9-8 or 10-7 team

lol giants had first and goal from 5 yard. Wilson throws it away so badly they call intentional grounding. 2nd and goal (from the fucking 15 yard line) is Wilson keeper up the middle. Third and goal another throwaway. Fourth and goal I guess was a pass to the back of the end zone that hits the upright with no one near it.

Yeah. Yesterday, Minnesota forced 5 Cincinnati turnovers and won 48-10. Pittsburgh forced 5 New England turnovers and won...21-14, needing a late touchdown followed by a defensive stop to finish on top.

But overall, a crazy day of football. I think there were 3 blocked field goals in about 15 minutes of real time, all late in games at key points. That doesn't happen every week!

That might be the first time the Browns have ever won a game where the other team pulled a Browns.

Didn’t get to watch the game until I streamed it at the end. Was Flacco as bad as people were saying?

He struggled. He can’t really move around. I respect the guy but no way a 41 year old like him can expected to perform at the necessary level week after week. Seems like there’s nothing to lose by trying Gabriel or Sanders. Lack of QB mobility with this offense won’t work.

My fantasy team (have Lamar, Andrews, and Flowers) was down by like 10 last night when Detroit converted that 4th and 2 with under 2 minutes left. By some miracle Detroit scores a long TD and the Ravens get the ball back and I end up winning by 8 points.

3 game changing blocked FGs all at the end of the 1 o'clock games within minutes of each other was wild.

Pretty much been the case for years.  They coach to keep the game low scoring, and then wait for the other team to beat themself or a critical play from one of their stars.  It's why they compete for a 6/7 seeds every year and then get destroyed if they get into the playoffs.

It's a real luxury to coach to achieve a non-losing season while 31 other coaches have to compete for a title to keep their job.

He is unplayable. He cant move at all, he now is getting the "old man dont want to get hit even after I throw it" problem, so its immediate checkdowns. Zero vertical threat right now, which was the one thing he brought the team -- the balls to throw into tight windows and push the ball downfield.

They are in a tough spot. Lose and be 0-3, and you can legit argue he is hurting the team. Now, at 1-2, with a Super Bowl caliber defense, benching him signals to the locker room they think the season is over. Even though that is the OPPOSITE of what the move would mean, its a tough sell to most veterans in the locker room.

I don’t understand the kickoff rules still but I think NFL teams may have to rethink not going for 2 like Arizona didn’t last night. They tied it up with 28ish seconds left by kicking the PAT and wanting to win in overtime.

The kicker didn’t kick the ball to at least the 20 yard line on the ensuing kickoff which is a penalty. So Seattle gets it at their 40 and a couple plays later are in field goal range.

I think that is a good observation. It’s like the big reduction in punts - a sacred cow (in this case the extra point) may not make sense nearly as often as it used to.
