Have you avoided whatever is going around?

Seems like everyone I know is sick right now, or has been within the last month or so. I've been lucky, I guess. Zoom calls for work are really annoying right now because so many people have that sicky voice.

So far, so good. My lady has had some crap where she's had congestion and was throwing up early on. All our grandkids had it too. Normally I get a flu shot but I haven't yet.

Knock on wood but I’ve avoided being sick for almost a year. I think it’s because I make a point to sanitize my hands whenever I leave the store, my kid’s school, or the gym.

Also, I’ve somehow never had covid despite being exposed to it several times a week. I had a positive antibody test back in 2020 and that was it.

Nope. Daughter got influenza a last Wednesday. Fever of 102-103 for five days. Son got it 2 days after. I got it 1 day after that. Was brutal. Just not we are all getting over it. Just a runny nose and cough left.

Terrible sinus issues for 2-3 weeks in December but not what is going around. Being back at school now I hope to avoid it.

Tested positive for Covid in late September.  It was mild with the worst part being the sinus issues, which lasted like a month.

yeah mine was very mild. no fever this time, only the sore throat and stuffy nose. The only reason i know it was covid was my mother in law tested positive when she went back to work after the holiday.

I got strep before Thanksgiving (from my daughter), it fucking sucked. Other than that kids have been sick a couple of times but recovered in a day or two.

I got sick in early November. Typical flu progression for me is headache -> sore throat -> congestion -> nose runs like crazy for a day or two -> healthy.

I went through that normal progression with two added symptoms: early on I had a day of fever and chills and then when it was all said and done I had developed a very persistent and annoying cough.

I finally shook the cough over the last week or so, so it was about a two month ordeal for me.

It wouldn't surprise me if I had pneumonia.

I've been dealing with it for...going on 3 weeks now.  Sore throat, fever came and went.  Slightly congested.  The only thing lingering is a dry cough.  Can't shake that.

I think my grandson brought it with him from Colorado.  We ended up taking him  to urgent care while he was here.  Tested positive for croup and RSV.  He had a miserable week here.

Kiss of death...woke up feeling a little off. Did a sinus rinse and hit the Alka Seltzer Plus Cold & Flu. We'll see how the day progresses.

Pretty sure I've got a mild cold right now. Feeling tired and my sinuses are going crazy. Otherwise feeling fine.

I luckily missed all of this, but my GF has dealt with it twice in the past month.

I did just get over having giardia over Xmas. That was not fun.

4 year old tested positive for flu last Monday. I got hit Tuesday night and slept until noon on Wednesday (never sleep past 7), wife got hit Thursday night. Somehow the 6 year old never had any symptoms besides a slight fever and cough. Thankfully it happened last week, as my wife and I are flying to Cle for a wedding this weekend.

My wife CANNOT stop coughing….deep, heavy, loud, violent coughing. Can’t sleep and not sure how I do. I feel terrible for her.

Whatever that was, it sucked. Whole body aches, cold chills, sore throat, hacky cough. I'm not fully in the clear but I feel much better after 48 hours of hell.

Yesterday my manager was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia, after having similar symptoms for a week or so.
