I saw airline stocks have dropped quite a bit. Might be time to buy.
energy prices are getting pummeled. be ready to buy CVX, XOM as it rebounds.
The symptoms are the same as a cold and I don’t think it’s killed anyone who was baseline healthy - only the elderly who are more vulnerable. I don’t know what the big deal is. But you know, media.

That's all I have taken from this whole ordeal.

After reading this article, I am better understanding the effect:
While I do think the media is sensationalizing things, that opinion places undeserved faith on the accuracy of reports out of China.
The number infected, and the mortality rate, is almost certainly higher than China is reporting. Plus, given the huge increase (@ 10-fold) in the number of cases in the past week, the death toll will probably rise considerably in the next week or two as @ 90% of cases only became symptomatic in the past week.
That said, with the market down @7% as a result, it sure does look like a great buying opportunity.

I still haven’t heard anything that warrants all the outrage. It’s the fucking flu. And it’s killing mainly elderly people in rural China who probably aren’t the healthiest in the first place.
I can’t imagine how I would be reacting if I and any of my family were on a quarantined cruise ship.

I think he's talking out of his ass, but he does bring up an interesting question as to whether the US is researching bio weapons. We'd almost have to, because you have to assume the bad actors are doing it, also.
Also, if your bio weapon only kills elderly people in China, then you're a pretty mediocre evil genius. Or maybe the goal of such things isn't actually to kill a bunch of people. The fact it turned that China city into a ghost town for weeks is probably sufficiently effective from a tactical perspective.

Looks like another buying opportunity! Although there are some real & significant hits to revenues/profits in the pipeline with the disruption caused to the supply chain.
And all the news organizations are foaming at the mouth over the prospect for a "pandemic".
