Couldn't accept it, so I searched. He is, indeed, still alive.

Rough weekend for celebrities. One of my ladies favorite soap actors, Drake Hogestyn, from Days of Our Lives, died along with Beverly Hills Cops' John Ashton.

My favorite player ever. RIP Charlie Hustle.
Being born in 1970, those Reds teams were my idols. Pete stood above them all. Even as a little kid, I knew he wasn’t as talented as Bench, Morgan, Foster, Concepcion, etc. But I knew he was great because of the way he played.
I don’t care that he lived by different morals than many. He was a great, great ballplayer.
