My friend sent me a mock the other day that had the Browns selecting Barkley at 1 and then Darnold at 4.  Apparently this dude actually thinks the first three picks won't be a QB.

LOL...I'd assume the Browns would go QB but I doubt the NYG's (seem now committed to Eli) and Colts take a QB but I could definitely seeing both trade down and 2/3 still being QB's.

I think there is a good chance NYG drafts a QB.  Eli's career is winding down.   If not, hopefully they draft Barkley, so we can put an end to any dumb ass thought of drafting him that high.

Was listening to Kirwan & Miller on Sirius yesterday and they were saying Shurmur seems committed to Eli for the next "couple" of years and the NYG's organization seems to really like Davis Webb

Yeah, I don't know about that. Teams may think he's a 2nd round talent and the Steelers take a flyer on him late in the 1st. Can't be much worse than Landry Jones.

To show how different these guys (mockers) are, just saw one where Allen goes #1 overall to the Broncos who trade Aqib Talib and a ton of picks for #1 overall. Browns select Barkley at 4 & Mayfield at 5.

I cannot even comprehend what "much worse than Landry Jones" would be.

Well we made Landry Jones look like a pro bowler.

Browns made Jacoby Brissett look like Peyton Manning in his prime. Nothing new. They could stop the run but that secondary was an abortion.

Apparently at the combine there was a fired Browns' coaches party at a local restaurant.  Good for them for having a sense of humor.

In other news, the owner of that local restaurant retired on his earnings the next day.

Having dinner next week with a Browns front/back office guy; will see if I can pick up anything; usually fairly tight-lipped or doesn't really know which way they are leaning for sure.

That says more about the Browns than Jones. He's the definition of "back-up I don't want to see on the field for ANY meaningful snaps" because with him throwing, all the deep threat receivers will be reduced to 10-15 yard dink and dunk routes.

I can count on zero hands how many times I watched Mason Rudolph play live this year. And I know everyone is a first pick if you go off their highlight videos. But whats his knock for those who've seen him play? He doesn't look bad in videos.

Apparently you forgot that Hue Jackson could turn a playoff team into a 6 win team at the drop of a hat?

That's my biggest fear about Hue. I think Hue could take a playoff caliber team and turn it into a bottom feeder, pretty quickly. Last years' roster was not an 0-16 roster. they should've won 3-4 games but they got "Hue'd."

Awesome! Just hope it wasn’t a huge haul for him.

Sounds like a 2018 pick and another in 2019.  No word on which rounds yet....

I read a 3rd and 6th. Worth it if that’s the case.

Great trade, glad to keep him from the ratbirds too.
