Who was minimizing his numbers? What I was saying was that just because he put up those numbers, it doesn't mean the Browns need to take him high but someone will. Using a top 4 pick on a RB, especially considering who the head coach is and how he uses, or in Hue's case, DOESN'T use a RB, would be a wasted/luxury pick.

+1 it would be a dumbass pick and why bad teams like the browns remain bad.  RB is the least of the browns' concerns.

Lack of explosive players on offense is actually pretty damn high on my concern list.

Those numbers prove what we already knew—he’s a physical freak. I’m not necessarily screaming for him to be a Brown, but if he’s there at 4, we’ve got our QB at 1, and our FO have him as the BPA, he should be the pick. A player like Barkley, who is explosive as a RB, WR , and KR, is so important in today’s NFL. If we can lock up someone like that, who the hell would be pissed about that?

If they sign McCarron in FA, I think it's very possible that they take RB & QB, at 1 & 4, but not in the order you mention. Not that I like it but I can see them taking Barkley at #1 and a QB at #4. Like me, I don't think they're bowled over by any of these QB's.

A certain Chicago resident may not like to hear this, but the 'Barkley at 1, BQA at 4' is really picking up steam on sports talk radio...not only was this the topic on conversation on Clay Travis (yeah, he's a douche, but he still has quite a following), but was trending on G&W as well. Funny how I said this two months ago, and quite frankly it was tongue-in-cheek to get a reaction on here--now I'm not so sure that this won't happen.

Been hearing a bit of Barkley at 1, Mayfield at 4. Wouldn't be thrilled with a  RB at #1 overall but I wouldn't kill them if those were the two they ended up with.

Even if they go with Barkley at 1, there's a good chance either Darnold or Rosen (for those who like him) to be there at 4 unless someone trades up with Indy at 3. If they aren't thrilled with either Darnold or Rosen, but like Mayfield, they can still get their guys at 1 & 4.

Can't guarantee Barkley would be there at 4 as he'd be tempting for Indy, assuming Luck is healthy and they don't surprise everyone and go QB.

Wouldn’t be thrilled but there are definitely people on here who’d be way more pissed than I would be lol

Anyone but Rosen at 1 and I’ll be pissed off. Especially a RB at 1. Barkley is good bu he leaves a lot of yards on the field and misses holes quite a bit. I’ll go on record saying Barkley won’t even be the best rb in this class. If we take him at 4 I can live with it but give me Rosen and Fitzpatrick or Chubb at 4 and be done with it

A defense that couldn't stop the Steelers B squad making Landry Jones look like Tom Brady is higher on my concern list.  WRs tend to make more explosive plays than RBs in today's NFL.  Duke Johnson is a serviceable back, that hopefully Haley can utilize much better than Hue.  Give me Duke and a RB in the 3rd and I am fine with that position.

I know I say this a lot, but there are certain things the Browns FO can do with this draft that might legitimately be the final straw for me.  Like the previous drafts where we had a shit ton of picks, this draft can completely change the direction of the entire franchise.  If they once again do something that all of us armchair GMs know is idiotic (draft a rb with the first pick, 4th pick, draft josh allen, don't draft a QB and roll with mccaron, etc) then I can safely say this franchise will never have any hope.  Also, fuck this "I trust" Dorsey bullshit.   At this point, no GM deserves our trust until they prove it.  I don't give a fuck if we hired a GM with multiple titles under his belt.

I racked my brain trying to figure out who BQA was before realizing you mean best quarterback available lol.

I'm starting to think there's something in the water because the Browns have had some pretty decent talent evaluators and as soon as they get to Cleveland they forget how to draft.

If Dorsey does something mind numbing, like letting Hue convince him AJ McCarron is someone they can roll with, he's lost any benefit of the doubt.

!00% agree with this. Look at Bill Polian, all it takes is one bad dumb take and you're ruined. What have you done for me lately. At this point, Dorsey cut Britt so he's on the positive side of the scale thus far. Has to keep up with it.

Also, how has no one called out vball for his dumb chest thumping. OMG A local sports radio guy was talking about it?!?! Def picking up steam and is going to happen!!!!111 GREAT CALL! /Sarcasm

Do any of you listen to Goldhammer?  My buddy at the combine said he was a complete ass clown and loud, and that no wonder everyone hates the Cleveland media.  Obviously Grossi and MKC suck too

Goldhammer sucks and is well hated in Cleveland. the only reason he's in radio is because his dad is a wealthy man who has ties with the station ownership.

This sums up my feelings on Barkely at #4:

The Browns last season were 10th in rushing according to . 14th in adjusted rushing… 32nd in passing. But hey, lets draft that running back first.

AND Hue didn't even use them well. The game Crowell busted a 66 yarder then got 2 touches afterwards.

Gotcha. I only listen to 92.3 while at work. Could never get into the clowns on 850.

He's an asshat. Along with Lima, the worst. Only one to top them both was Chuck "I wish I was in JFF's pants" Booms.

I was laughing driving home the other day because 92.3's Brown beat writer, Daryl Ruiter, was on seething because John Dorsey made a comment at the Combine toward the media about "see, this is what you guys do to try to stir stuff up" and Ruiter lost it (on the radio). He says "it's no wonder people have such a negative view of the Cleveland media." No Daryl, people have such a negative view of the Cleveland media because a) you guys generally suck (lead by Tony Grossi & MKC) and b) you DO try to stir shit up (again, lead by Grossi and Rizzo).

When outsiders come into town with the mindset "we've heard about you guys in the Cleveland media" you know there's an issue.

Plus, I think Goldhammer's a Broncos fan. Could be wrong on that but guys like him, Roda (Steeler fan) and Adam the Bull (Bengals fan) should shut their holes about the Browns.
