Funny no criticism of trump not saying one true sentence but I get it with this group let’s focus on the guy who is 3 years older haha

No way you are trying to compare their mental acuity last night.

Trump was a moron but he looked like a MENSA member compared to Joe last night.

Biden was horrible I agree and I wish they had another candidate but are we really not gonna say the other guy talked fast but said not one thing that was accurate? Two terrible choices.

They both said some truths and they both lied a lot.

Both sides need to be honest if that particular accusation is going to be tossed about.

Compared to Joe, yes. Good lord I can’t believe you are even trying to compare the 2 last night strictly on a mental acuity level.

Politicians lie, so saying Trump told a bunch of lies has zero to do with the mental acuity question.

One looked and sounded like any other older person, one looked and sounded like someone who can’t remember their own name and wears a diaper.

Just admit it, Biden looked so bad he should step down today, now everyone knows he isn’t mentally capable to run the country, someone else is running the country. It’s Weekend at Bernie’s.

Are you and PTown still going to denigrate people that say he has dementia?

I can't speak for every family, naturally, but I'll explain how it goes in mine.

The Dem voters/believers in my family are all Boomers. Almost all of them, I should say. Why is that of interest? It's important to point out the fact that they easily can remember when JFK was the embodiment of the Dem party. That was the face of their generation. The party of the working class and supporting their unions, where applicable. Today the Dem party is much different. It stopped having anything to do with the working class in 1998. None of the people in my family knew that the Dems just performed a strike bust in California a year or two ago until I told them. And even then they didn't believe it until I pulled it up on my phone and showed them. The result was they got pissy towards me until another political subject branched off of the main one.

I would guess that most families are like that, even if politics weren't commonly discussed around the table like it is in my family. Most people just believe what they believe and don't look under the hood of the car too much, in the way that we do here, much less kick the tires.

The Gen x part of my family is mostly conservative and independent. The millennials are basically neo-socialists who just like to be depressed and the youngest ones are mostly apolitical.

The point being is that a lot of people are just habitual voters without much interest in knowing why. Generational factors have a lot to do with that. Just my opinion based on my own family.

So do y feel that trump and his policies are going to benefit the middle class or the wealthy? Personally I feel like it will be 4 more years of trickle down which hasn’t trickled down. Just my op

In the 1 in a million chance he wins, he will be embattled too much to do much of anything, imo. Just like what happened in his prior term. I think we all know that. Intelligence agencies have already plainly stated that they will not apologize for lying and hoaxes they started and perpetuated and even said they'd do it again. So yeah, Trump will never be free to do much.

He won't be president again.

Please explain to me what the Dem's have done for the blacks, Hispanics, poor, etc besides hold them down with free handouts (government assistance) to buy their votes? The idea that the Democratic Party is for the "little man" or fighting FOR the people is a lie and a joke.

Their policies and stupid ideas (pushing electric vehicles on us) have caused inflation to skyrocket since Weekend at Bernie's has been in office. Yeah, soaring food prices and cars/SUV's that cost twice a house payment benefit EVERYONE! SMDH

1. Ptown denigrated anyone who questioned Biden’s mental acuity whether they said dementia or Alzheimer’s or just senility. He deserves being called out on his antics.

2  I criticize Trump all the time, keep trying to deflect. I think he was the 3rd worse option we’ve even seen in the last 2 elections. I would have voted for most Ds over him last time and all the Rs. Same this time if there were more Ds.   Biden was about the only one that wouldn’t get my vote over Trump

I voted for Obama when he was against McCain, mainly because I feared Palin being 1 heartbeat away. I voted for Clinton in his second election (my first as a voter) so acting like I am a shill for Trump is asinine.

I can’t vote in Bernie from weekend at Bernie’s. I don’t know how anyone can vote for someone knowing full well someone else is running the country.

This is the biggest problem for the right. Morally, abortion is trash. Politically, it’s a very bad move. The good thing is that for the most part it’s creating less crazy leftists and government leaches. I’m all for the trend of the left not wanting families and no kids.

I don’t agree with everything on the dem side. I think we need to stop giving money to other countries while we have homeless people in every city. I think we need to address the border or fix a path of citizenship for people who want to come and work.

What I can’t do is vote for a party that is trying to shove the Bible down my throat and make tons of unnecessary laws based upon their values. There are actual real problems as mentioned above and they spend all their time ranting and raving about things that largely don’t matter.

I would agree with it wouldn’t matter if trump be comes president because he tends to not do much, however he did get 3 Supreme Court judges in there which ended up being a huge deal so nothing would suprise me at this point.

The homeless are there because of the libs. Big cities suck bc of libs and not enforcing any laws. Giuliani is a fucking weirdo now, but before he cleaned up NY. It’s really simple to do if they want to. The border is the same. The left is 100% to blame for that. They’re also to blame for the gay shit which is also going to end up being a losing proposition for them.

What “biblical” laws have the right been throwing down your throat?

The problem with replacing Biden, perhaps even if he willingly steps aside, is people will feel it was orchestrated to deny them choosing the candidate in the primaries.  But at this point, might be the only way to save the Dems in the House and Senate.  Barring some surprise - which is entirely possible, especially with Trump - I think Trump will be POTUS even if the Dems nominate someone else in the convention.

Because now it must be clear, even to people like Ptown, that Biden is incapable and has been for some time.  And either the people actually running the country thought they could prop-up their figurehead for 4 more years, or replacing him with their hand-picked candidate was the plan all along.  That just won't fly with the margin they need to defeat Trump in the swing states.

The other problem with replacing him is the fact the Dems would essentially be admitting that they were gaslighting public for the last 2 years regarding Biden’s health.*  This is why I see 0 chance of Biden being replaced.  I also find it hilarious for those who cry Trump is a threat to democracy (even though he was voted out), yet those same people now want Biden to be replaced and put up whoever they want via superdelegates. A candidate wholly unelected by their base LOL.

*This was very obvious to many people, but apparently people like Ptown bought into it, or tried their hardesr to amplify the gaslighting.

It's not a liberal or conservative idea to make a plan and then do it.

Mississippi is a poorer state than most and outshining them all when it comes to this problem. But yeah, let's frame it as a liberal vs conservative thing.
