How’s Your Hair Doing?

I was fortunate to have gotten to my barber in early March, but I’m now starting to be in need. I have an electric clipper that I can trim with and shave my neck. I have a goatee and my beard is going to need some attention real soon before I start saying “ho ho ho”.  My barber does a super job on my facial hair and I miss that very much.

How you all doing?

Not good. If my barber isn't open by May 1st I might be going buzzcut for the first time in almost 20 years.

Pretty bad. Tempted to one guard it daily.

I lined up and trimmed beard myself, did ok. Beard trimming yourself is actually a bitch.

My beard is a mess, I have no idea how to trim it properly. It's longer than it's ever been at the moment, because why not, but it's kinda scraggly and uneven.

I have a pro trimmer with all the guards. I just watched like an hour of Youtube vids. You can do it, stressful though. Hand mirror is a must.

I made it to my barber for my skin-tight flattop the day before the guv shut 'em down.  It's passable around the house for now, next week not so much.

Mrs. Zunardo will do the honors, she went out and bought a new clipper set for the occasion, since we gave our old one to our son. 25 years ago she used to cut my hair.  She can cut a passable flattop, so I'm not too worried.  The worst she can do is mess up and buzz it all off.  At my age, it ain't gonna make too much difference.

I always thought trimming my own beard was fairly easy, just a bit messy.  Back when I wore my beard, I liked having it look full but fairly neat, so I bought a decent trimmer and some different guard lengths, and I'd just put the waste basket in the sink and lean over it while I cut away.  The hardest part was  making sure the line underneath is somewhat even, but if you're edging that line every time you shave (every other day I shaved underneath and on top from the cheekbones to the upper beard line), it should be fairly simple.

I got to my barber right before they shut things down,so things are still looking good.

Good, been cutting my own hair for 10+ years now. Just take the #2 attachment to the whole thing and touch up the neck/sideburns and done. Super easy.

By beard trimmer sucks big time. I should probably invest in a decent one if I'm going to keep this thing around, which I probably am.

I got mine right before the lockdown.  Sounds like Italy will start reopening shit around May 4th and barbers probably mid to late May.  So far I can get away with a classic politician hair part to the right.  I think I can hold off until late May, because my hair is thick.  I am not sure what I will do after, especially since it gets hot as fuck here.  I haven't buzzed my hair since I was 21 and I really don't want to go abck to the buzzcut.

My SIL is a beautician who is out of work.  If I get to the point where I want an actual cut (rather than buzz), I'll hit her up.

I only get my hair done 3-4 times a year. I was due for a May cut and color, but can hold off until June or even July if need be. I have some regrowth, but my natural hair is already blonde.

My husband got his cut the week before lockdown started. It's getting a little shaggy, but he wears a hat for about 18 hours a day, 7 days a week. If he goes back to work before our stylist reopens, he'll just have a Justin Bieber circa 2010 look.

I have access to a free haircut but it's my girlfriend's son's wife (former beautician) and he just got over that shit. I think I'll wait.

Male pattern baldness told me it was time to go buzz-cut a year or two ago. Since I'm not a total incompetent, I can handle that on my own.

Just cut mine a few hours ago on the porch.  Another perk of nice weather and can do it outside with no clean up.
