posted by justincredibleI had a bunch of old records given to me by my in-laws so I decided to buy a starter turntable last week. I picked up the Crosley C100 turntable after seeing it recommended on Reddit and checking out the reviews on Amazon. Ended up saving me $100 as the turntable I was planning on buying was quite a bit more expensive. Even in the age of having pretty much every song ever made available to stream instantly, there is something about the physical act of swapping out the record. I also tend to be more engaged in the music, not just playing it for background sound.
Currently playing Stardust by Willie Nelson.
Yesterday I "spun" The Band by The Band and Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys.
Looking forward to some major record hunting once this bullshit all blows over.
I have about 30-40 at home. Was thinking about adding a few to that number, but have to wait until the local record store opens back up to do that.
