I honestly don't get things shipped to me that often, either. I don't shop online much, though I suppose if I did, it would definitely make sense to get Prime.
I've never had Netflix, either. What's the big distinguishing difference between Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and others like Sling? I was always curious, but never enough to actually pay for any of them.

In 2018, the original content definitely adds to the appeal, besides the whole "cord cutting" aspect.

Well, Sling is a cable provider. So its live television.
Netflix and Hulu are streaming services with older content. Neither has sports live (like Sling), but have original content. Netflix has the best original content of them all. Prime you get Amazon Music included, video streaming (similar to Netflix, but different original content) and the shipping benefits. Plus a few other perks (but I only use video, music and shipping).
I have Sling, Prime, Netflix and HBO/Showtime. I pay about $100 less a month than my friends with cable packages.

Damn. Thanks for the breakdown. I may at least look into Prime. I find most of the original content shows elsewhere from across those platforms. Looks like Prime is even offering 10 TNF games this year, as well.

Yeah, Prime will likely be adding live sports even more over the years. This is the 3rd year they’ve had TNF games I think.

I’d be surprised if more than a couple of us on here watch anyone on twitch.

Don't you have to pay extra for this? Or can you access any song on their library, anywhere, and create playlists as well?

It's extra for their "unlimited" package which has more

Yep, that’s correct. You get Music included. It’s not every song ever created, and since I listen to about 6 hours of music a day, it wasn’t enough for me. So I went with the “Unlimited” plan. Basically every song ever. But it was/is a $79 a year investment. But the standard is free with a Prime subscription.
Both are ad free, both can create playlists and both can integrate the music library you already have, plus download music for airplane or when you aren’t in WiFi and don’t want to use data.

Emmy Rossum leaving Shameless at the end of season 9.

And they are continuing the show, it seems. Should just end it. It hasn’t jumped the shark and is still great television, but losing Fiona is basically a death sentence to continue. 9 seasons is remarkable.

Shameless didn't jump the shark? I thought it did when Debbie was pregnant, and they went to that stupid compound in the woods.

I stopped when Frank made the world's strongest beer. So stupid.
Ozark dropped at midnight. Rain is coming, will try to get a few episodes in this weekend.

First episode of Jack Ryan was solid.
Also on Netflix, my new "stupid, guilty pleasure" show is Disenchantment.

I’ve never given a shit about her storyline, so I basically tune those scenes out.

On episode 2 this morning, really liking it so far.

I finished Jack Ryan yesterday. I grew up reading Clancy and loved the Jack Ryan books. The series is fine. It is more Homeland than Clancy, and feels more like it wants to be a Sum of All Fears light. I love that Greer is more a badass. Wendell Pierce as Greer is fantastic.
Not to spoil anything, but I do hope the ending leads more toward elements away from terrorism and more toward geopolitics. It ends with that possible shift. More Cardinal in the Kremlin and less Sum of All Fears.
I'm 3 episodes into Ozark Season 2. I really like it so far.
paying it forward
We had free Showtime this past weekend, and I binge watched Shameless--not bad, not bad at all.
7 gram rocks. how i roll.
I'm so behind on TV it's ridiculous, we have to watch Season 2 of Stranger things, Ozark, Jack Ryan, Billions, plus like 2 or 3 series that my wife makes me watch. We had soccer tournaments all winter and spring and Spent the whole summer apart from the wife, so we'll have to binge this fall/winter.
