Baloguns red card is an absolute killer for the Belgium game. We can still win, but that hurts. He has been awesome, and is the only forward we have with ability to take people on 1v1 and finish...plus his off ball runs put Pepi and Wright to shame. He has been in incredible form as well. 2nd best player on the field these 4 games, behind Pulisic only (and argument hes been better, given Pulisic lack of minutes).

Everyone else has been so good, a 1 for 1 swap is probably the smart move. But, Pepi is such a step down from Balogun, you'd almost want to shift some stuff around and get someone else in there instead of Pepi.

I have less an issue with the actual Red Card as I do the way the rest of that game (and this tournament) has been officiated/VAR'd. It isn't at all in line with that, and that is frustrating.

I’ve watched several hours of the WC and I’ve seen 20 things that looked similar or worse live speed with no red card

Ive been thinking this as well. Reyna is very good in the center of the field, with dynamic wingers. Dest and Pulisic qualify as that. Will probably not be as great back to goal more without a striker in front, but I think its better than moving Pulisic central and away from running at defenders with space.
I’d love to see that, definitely keep Pulisic wide.
I just don’t think Poch will go that route, but let’s hope!

Pepsi has looked terrible so far, just such a step down.
I’m mad about the card as it wasn’t even a yellow on the field. Messi also did the same thing with no card. It looked bad sure, but not intentional or a careless / intentional challenge. Plus at that point that ref hadn’t done shit when there were egregious fouls by Bosnia.

Without changing rotation or path I hate the call. Does the sensor go off if it misses his hair by an inch but hits a few gnats?
